  • What happens when three Latino journalists walk into a bar on Inauguration Eve 2017? Besides the obvious of raising more that one glass, the goal was to produce a roundtable discussion on how to open a dialogue in a very divided country moving forward. How can the Latino community of content creators and storytellers lower the heat nationally and locally, while humanizing our Latino stories? This took place on 01/19th at the monthly PRIME LATINO MEDIA Salón, which is the largest network on the East Coast of Latino multimedia-makers, actors and musicians in bilingual Latino and mainstream media, digital and entertainment. This free event at Bar 13 in Manhattan's Union Square area was moderated by the Founder & Executive Producer, TíoLouie/Louis E. Perego Moreno and partnered with HOLA (Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors). A 60-minute English-language conversation was held followed by Q&A with the audience. Interview guests: Juan Manuel Benítez, an award-winning, multimedia journalist & political anchor/reporter for NY1 and the creator and host of Pura Política -- NY1 Noticias; Javier E. Gómez, actor/producer, award-winning journalist and publicist; and Susanne Ramírez de Arellano journalist, media professional and former News Director and currently digital and trans-media storyteller with a specialty concerning her native Puerto Rico. Produced and edited by Steven Vega, camera by Raquel Lizardi. Subscribe to our RUclips page for upcoming interviews in English and Spanish with proven Latino multimedia-makers, actors and musicians.
