We do both now, the drift school is mobile and runs at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and a few other tracks in New England.

You should be able to use an automatic trans car, as long as it's rear wheel drive. I'm not an expert but I doubt that your average automatic would make it too difficult

It would probably work the same, especially if the automatic lets you choose which gear you're in. Except for the initial launch, this entire exercise was done in 2nd gear

Yeah but actual drifting is another story, much harder to drift effectively in an automatic

if you have a sport mode that lets you keep the revs higher or a manual select mode it shouldnt be too terrible. Also yes pretty much need RWD and TURN OFF TRACTION CONTROL lol should be obvious but even i forget sometimes

Will only work with RWD and some AWD cars that are biased to the rear. A FWD car will spin the front tires and make understeer instead of oversteer... Unless of course you're in reverse!
