Especially during the Corona pandemic you see most people struggling with mental fatigue and issues just nobody shows. Those who show need help? It is actually a coping mechanism to get better instead of swallowing your pain until it explodes. Seems weird to you but that is how you feel better, writing about it etc. is making it feeling better.

I remember back when nobody knew this band, they got known by channels for uncopyrighted rock music. Same as Imagine Dragons. Always nice to see a band like this explode! :D
Except Imagine Dragons isn't a rock band. These guys are a radio rock band, which I typically don't like a lot of, but their songs are catchy and have an interesting message to them, so I enjoy them. Imagine Dragons is pop pop-rock band. Which I hate. Imagine Dragons is no exception there.
The thing i like most about Dragons is that they have no specific genre. Thats what makes them. Most of their songs are kinda rock, but some i would even call ballad-like.

The sad thing with things like depression, anxiety etc. you are your own worst enemy, you have the strength to snap out of it but you feel like you can’t, which is where your loved ones come in, in those situations you need someone to turn to, someone who can save you, give you a shoulder to cry on, remember, you don’t need to go through your demons alone, if you do they’ll rip you apart, recognize that’s there’s people in your life that care about you and can help you, I’ve had my fair share of them and each time what I needed was to turn to a loved one, seeking help is nothing to be ashamed of, it’s something we all need from time to time, so do yourself a favor and tell them to the people in your life that care about you, because they’ll always be willing to help

I've heard this so many times, but only now do I feel like I'm understanding the lyrics. A person's worst enemy is self inflicted. People need the support of others throughout life. We all have our own fears, but two fears that everyone shares are of the unknown and of being neglected/rejected by others. The demon is us becoming numb to rejection and ridicule from others.
In short: We need others to get through life.

I loved this song when it came out, but this year, when I started my worst bout against depression, that's when I truly listened to and connected with the lyrics, and I understood this for the masterpiece it is.
