Indian history is rich and diverse, with women playing a crucial role in shaping the nation. However, many women rulers in India's history are often forgotten, as they fought hard to challenge patriarchal values. Looking back into the pages of Indian history, we find brave women warriors who have fought against invaders and oppressors to defend their land, people, and culture. India's early, medieval, and modern periods have seen a staggering number of women who ruled, engaged in military strategy, diplomacy, and marched into battle. Some of these women are national heroines, while others are lesser-known but celebrated in folk memory. As we celebrate the 75th year of Indian Independence, we pay tribute to these fearless women leaders who deserve to be recognized for their sacrifices and lives for the motherland. They were combatants, creators, conquerors, champions and changemakers, demonstrating courage and gender equality. This book deal with their stories which would serve as an inspiration and serve as role models for contemporary women.
