    I never did explore Udacity very much, but I guess I'll begin with the ML stuff which you discussed in the very beginning. Thanks for the content!

    for a masters graduate in DS, would you recommend this over ibm andrew ng courses? I need real world skills to practice on but the price seems steep.

      No I would suggest the Coursera stuff over this

    Hi, new subscriber here!, thanks for all your education videos. Im from latam. And i decided to learn data science through coursera platform. But i have a doubt, do i need a college degree to get a job as a data scientist? or is enough to have this certifications? (ibm, google, stanford, etc)

    • @GregHogg
      @GregHogg  3 года назад +2

      It is pretty tough to get a data scientist job without at least a bachelor's degree in *something*, preferably math / cs / software. Of course it is possible and has been done before, and the certificates are one of the many things that can help. You will really have to prove your passion for it though, with a phenomenal portfolio, which I cannot say how to stand out as that's up to you. Hope this helped!

      @@GregHogg hi! thanks for answering, i really appreciate it. I do have a bachelor degree, but not a college degree. Im really fascinated by data science, in your opinion, do you think it's worth a try? or i should learn something else?

    • @GregHogg

      @@RookieSith I don't understand the difference, do you mean you have a university degree? And yes of course I promote learning data science!

    I actually paid for the data science course, I have no prerequisites but I started studying python today.... will that be a problem?

    Hi Greg, thanks a lot for this video - just what I needed to know! About those prerequisites: Do you believe a machine learning course that was not so heavy on the deep learning is enough for the data science nanodegree? I'm currently more interested to get a fuller picture of end-to-end data science process than dwelling on my machine learning skills. Cheers, Balthasar

      You're very welcome :) and Hmm I think I would recommend some more deep learning first but you never know!
