Afeshiab that is so true. I believe people have a hard time coming to terms with their own humanity and so they condemn others for being open and transparent about theirs. We all play ourselves anytime we actually believe we're in a better position to judge someone else. How easy it is to ignore the things we say or do out of anger but how quick we bash a celebrity.
I love how people can be so judgmental of the gospel community. Just because you profess to have a love for God openly DOES NOT mean that you are no longer allowed to feel or be affected by the circumstances caused my life and unfortunate events. She expressed an emotion founded in great anger in that moment of her life...that is no crime and that in no way makes her any less Christian or loved by God. Get a clue!!! God made us all of flesh and bone...not cold steel. We all have emotions and we all become overwhelmed and we all say and do things that we don't seriously mean. Give her some compassion and not your judgment.
I can understand being mad at God, family, friends, strangers, everybody. I am at a point in my life where I can say that I know what that feels like and it is awkward. You feel like you are trapped and not only should you never say you're mad at God but you shouldn't even BE mad at God in the first place! It's really hard and I can tell she's going to get through with this, I wish her all the best :))).
My mom has told me, '' It's a good thing we never had a gun in our house, or I would have shot your father.'' Say what ? My dad gave in to everything she wanted. We all did. We walked on eggshells around her. She was the boss lady ! I don't think my mom meant it. She was feeling overwhelmed. And that's what I hear in this lady's comment.
In the medical community that is called "Homicidal ideation". Christian or Non-Christian you have no right to take someone's life "PERIOD". However, you can choose to stay or leave those are your options and only options. Just saying "Gospel Duo"
is it just me or does anybody see "secular" artistry style. in other words, u would never know they were gospel singers by their dress, walk, talk, and speech. I was always taught you're suppose to be able to tell the difference between the two...
There are various ways and styles to share the gospel. Rock, Rap, Contemporary, Nontraditional music, etc. They are not doing anything that contradicts being a gospel singer. The Gospel is in the message they share through their songs by Praising God and Letting others know they can't do this life without God. Telling the difference does not have to do with the outer appearance.
I disagree. Being a born again believer in the body of Christ does change u mentally, spiritually, and physically. U know the old song, "places I used to go....songs I use to sing....clothes I use to wear, I don't anymore." Futuremore, the Bible clearly talks about conformity to the ways of the world and being transformed by both your mind, spirit and BODY! That's wut Jesus meant by body, the outer portion of wut we see with the eyes. Futuremore, my gospel tells me that it's not gospel if you're not talking about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Donnie said it best by calling it "inspirational" music, not gospel. It's been awhile since I've heard their music but the last time I heard it they were talking about how they incorporated some "club bangers" on the album! What tha?!?!? Be not deceived ms hunter.... The moral of wut I'm saying is ur wrong by thinking ur outer dress appearance has nothing to do with true holiness and being saved. It's my personal belief that wen u are saved, u really don't have the desire to look/dress like the world. As Tremaine said it many years ago, it's a change, a wonderful change!
