Back to the Future was a doomed project from the start. Data East couldn't get the music cleared with Chrysalis Records( which owned the Huey Lewis and the News songs used in the movie), nor with Michael J. Fox to use his likeness on the backglass. Universal allowed the theme to be used but none of the other songs used in the film were there(notably Chuck Berry's song, "Johnny B. Goode").
I dig that machine, especially the chimes when you go to the 50s. What a great idea.

I'm actually suprised that machines didn't keep the chimes when they went from electromechanical to computer based.
The chimebox is an awesome retro touch, wish more modern machines would have them.
This is a featured game here in Tokyo. Never been a big fan of Data East, but this game rocks!
Nice shooting! Thanks for the great tutorial

I just play this game for the music. The music on this is the best pinball music of all time.
Yes! Fun game. This, black knight and funhouse are the best.
Best pinball game ever made by Data East
Like the music.
This video was awesome made watching it even more entertaining!
A better use of time travel than the other time travel-based pinball done by Data East.
Most definitely. The licensed Back to the Future pinball is a huge letdown when you consider the possibilities they had with that franchise.

We own one and at one point in time were trying to hook a pair of old police lights up to it for star warp.
Very good!!
+TNT Amusements Inc "Superwave"
With Twilight Zone theme 🤔 pretty cool
what a great game.
This game was made as a tribute to Williams. There should be a small blurb about it on the machine.
+Brad Balsley Yeah its on the plastic next to the right flipper. I own one of these, fun machine
Huh, it’s on the left on mine.
I just realized you could probably drive a cat nuts with a pinball game.
When I see one, I have to buy it. Their value is around 1.000€ right? If so, it would be awesome for that price. :-)
Classic...
