Finally a collection where the garage itself is designed just as elegantly as the cars presented within its walls. Anyway, this is very inspiring so thanks so much for posting. Lastly, congratulations to the owner!
I would gladly watch a video about the garage itself. Beautifully designed... and the lighting is fabulous! The architecture perfectly showcases the drama and passion prevalent in the car design! Tasteful and passionate.
Two small corrections on the comments in the presentation on the F1. McLaren debuted the F1 in 1992 not 1995 and the V12 engine is 6.1L, not 6.0L. - Otherwise a great presentation and I’m glad he highlighted how much the current owner uses that car since this isn’t a true story for most of the F1’s.
Hey Eric, in a few places I've been reading/hearing conflicting facts about the F1 being the first carbon fibre monocoque production car. It seems pretty clear that the XJR-15 beat the F1 to that title but did McLaren ever claim that the F1 was the first ? Is there any notable offender that caused this 'fact' to gain traction ?
Andynath100 sorry for the late reply. Over the years I've seen people suggest that both the EB110 and XJR-15 deserve that title. My understanding is that both of those have a mixture of carbon fiber and Kevlar in their monocoque. That said, even the F1 isn't fully carbon fiber as there are areas with a sandwiched layer of aluminum honeycomb where it made sense to do so. Probably the same story for others as well.
@@Peloton25 Thanks for taking the time. I figured it was down to some difference in the definition of a 'carbon fiber car' or a triviality. You must have seen it but there is a fascinating video called 'Mclaren F1 Chassis the inside story' by a channel called David Skertchly which goes into the build process of the monocoque. They claim to be part of the original team.
WOW! Really good car collection! (Vittorio Jano was the designer of the alfa romeo, Vittorio Jano was born in Italy, but both hes parents was from Hungary)
