Is it really that much more expensive to fly West-to-East rather than East-to-West? I never knew that.. And what car were you supposed to get btw? Also the Singapore-London flight is already killer and exhausting; I always have to make the Kuala Lumpur-London flight and the 13 hours or so just leaves you absolutely knackered D: Even with your layovers and breaks between flights that really was the set of flights from hell. Thank you for doing all that and still putting out content for us Sam :D
Nice to see you flying my country's flagship carrier, Singapore Airlines! But you could have done a shorter route to San Francisco from Singapore going eastwards.
You should go to Los Gatos, it's a really good place to super car spot, its right by San Jose, and there is a bunch of super car dealerships their too, but they will also be out on the streets
+Seen Through Glass great see u in the USA finely. car week is great big event for sure. I'm in Pittsburgh area Ares is over was +Pittsburgh vintage grand prix
BRUH, bout to blow your mind- "turo" google it, used to be rideshare, now tons of very very nice fast cars for affordable prices, all fully insured, could be rolling in an M4 right now lol
Why didn't you just fly straight to San Francisco from Singapore rather than all the way around the world. You could have cut your travel time effectively in half
+extreme989 you can get a V6 in the US market but you're right it's not labelled Eco boost like the 2.3 four cylinder. Shame Sam didn't get the V8 though eh!
Sorry but it is called a shelby in America because Carol shelby had a meeting with ac motors about making a more powerful ac coupe which once he made the more powerful shelby version the version of the car was called the shelby cobra because it had been modified and Carol shelby was from America hence why the shelby version is more common in America and I am talking about the original ones not the replicas
I have a book on the history of British cat manufacturing and why it fell apart due to lack of government funding and privatisation under the Margaret Thatcher lead tory government and it wasn't originally called the cobra until the more powerful shelby version arrived thanks to Carol shelby and then thanks to success in several racing series it became one of the most popular sports cars of its generation and most people call them shelby's because the don't know about its origins also it's basically a ford because if you strip an original that is stock it is made using ford parts apart from the body work which was one of the few parts made by ac it is the same with other extinct British car companies like Rochdale named after the town they were build in the Rochdale Olympic and the other cars Rochdale made were predominantly made using ford parts
If they had properly funded British Leyland and paid the workers it wouldn't have fallen apart though it is a shame about that though because it is amazing how much the tories get praised despite what they did to the mining industry and all the people who worked for British Leyland
I sympathise, flew to Wellington, New Zealand from the UK, stop over at Singapore and Sydney before finishing a thirty hour journey... Sleep was all I craved when I got to the hostel!
proudction quality is flawless as usual, i just miss you driving around talking and super car spotting... its just these videos are getting a tad boring
You dont use an car for your luggage/baggage at an airportbuilding? ......an idol of traveling you are not, but an funny car insider.................. ...cant wait for pabble beach circums dance!
Have a wonderful journey Sam!! Although, it's unbelievable how many of you guys (e.x. effspot, TheStradman, Speedracer38, Marchettino, DLMPhotos, etc) joined the Monterey Car Week. ;)
So jealous! Did the Pacific Coast Highway 3 years ago. Got to Monterey for the last day of car week. Awesome thing to do. Want to go back! 17 Mile Drive is better in the day time, views are stunning. Stop off in Carmel, there's a men's clothes shop that do exclusive shirts for car week. And enjoy!!!
Has anyone else noticed how Sam and the mustang look at 2:36
lol
the quality of your videos get better and better everyday!! 👍
Thanks man, really appreciate that
second that !!!
You need to link up with Stradman and Effspot!
I love effspot
Absolutely - saw them both last night but we all need to get on camera for sure
Seen Through Glass it would definitely make for an epic video!
Why couldn't you get a flight over the pacific?
More expensive mate
Unfortunately more expensive and I had booked my return flight to Bali, before I booked my flight to America
more expensive is the exhaustion of your body by taking this ludacris long journey. imo
Is it really that much more expensive to fly West-to-East rather than East-to-West? I never knew that.. And what car were you supposed to get btw?

+Seen Through Glass That doesn't make much sense. Must be cheaper to fly from Singapore to LA than London to SF...
HE IS FINALLY DRIVING ON THE CORRECT SIDE OF THE CAR AND ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD!
27 hours of traveling?!?!? Blimey.... I can barely go 6 hours without getting a throbbing headache.
Really? Trade one throbbing head for another?
+ Tom you silly child
please tell me your doing a video with salamander?!?!
This is a car channel.
Salomondrin?
+SenszR you don't get the joke...
+Geo & 1 aren't jokes meant to be funny?
+SenszR go to salomondrins last 2 video I'm the top comment with that joke, it's just that your too slow to understand it..😂
Welcome to the States my friend. Have a great time while here and make sure you get out and about!!
loved monterey last year! wish I was there again
I absolutly love your videos.
Looking forward to hopefully meeting up with you this week, Sam!
Sam, next year go to Jakarta in 17 August and go to Merdeka Run Speed Creed where all Supercars convoy to celebrate the Indonesia Independence Day.
Travels 7000 miles and the hair still sits perfect at the end of it.
Nice to see you flying my country's flagship carrier, Singapore Airlines! But you could have done a shorter route to San Francisco from Singapore going eastwards.
pop up to LA if you want a Alfa Romeo 4C to drive through some hills ;)
Oh also, all the carspotting you could ask for in Malibu/Beverly
why didn't u take a direct or connecting flight from Indonesia to san Francisco?
"buggered things up a bit" is a massive understatement if you ended up with an ecoboost
Carmel is a lovely place too.
So wish I could go to this...
You should go to Los Gatos, it's a really good place to super car spot, its right by San Jose, and there is a bunch of super car dealerships their too, but they will also be out on the streets
Awesome, thanks for the info
Sure :)
+Seen Through Glass great see u in the USA finely. car week is great big event for sure. I'm in Pittsburgh area Ares is over was +Pittsburgh vintage grand prix
Are you gonna be at Exotics on Cannery Row on Friday? I'd love to meet you!
You should visit Singapore one day!!
I wondered about why not fly Singapore to japan to San Francisco? if the Orange lambo had origon plates it was James the stradman
Also, great to see a british car in this video (shelby cobra).
Fishing
+seenthroughglass Did you have to repack in London? If not why didn't you fly straight from Singapore to LA? That would have been a quicker route.
Sam! You should have stopped over in Singapore! I would have taken you car spotting :)
Your lucky you can go to car week! Im determined to go next year and its only 3,000 miles across the country for me
After day one, I can tell you its amazing!
It's 300 miles from me and I really want to go
Seen Through Glass Awesome! Have fun there!
7000 miles in 7 minutes would have been a good title for this video
Good point :)
Good choice! What is the model of this mustang? V6, Ecoboost or GT?
Ecoboost unfortunately
Gary Cooper Well, at least it is more powerful than the V6.
An 8 hour flight was bad enough for me. I feel for you buddy!
I'm feeling the after effects today :(
love Singapore Air
WELCOME TO AMERICA!!!
Was that the quickest route going back via London ?
Soooo damn jealous! Was there two weeks ago... How's the fire doing?
And if you have any questions about where things are, I can give you some advice!
what hire car were you supposed to get? Good vid btw
BRUH, bout to blow your mind- "turo" google it, used to be rideshare, now tons of very very nice fast cars for affordable prices, all fully insured, could be rolling in an M4 right now lol
only in the usa right now i think, but hopefully will expand to europe
Thanks for this! I've seen that site actually - such a cool idea. Didn't sort it out in time
i live 20 min north from san fran
Sam, are you going to be back in the UK in time for Salon Privé? Thanks!
I think I am but not sure I can attend
+Seen Through Glass Oh:(
+Seen Through Glass why not?
great video again
Thanks
proper editing
are you going to exotic on cannery row
what car were you supposed to get sam?
I think that was The Stradmans car - Tinted tail lights.
and it looks like oregon plates.
It was indeed
+Seen Through Glass You definitely should meet up with him
Is that the 2.3
So what car were you meant to get?
You are so lucky xD I would love to take all of these flights and you complain about it xD
I was just in Monterey :I
Two things mode me love the US:
1 Supernatural
2 This video
On a lonely, creepy road in a white Mustang with the roof down in the rain in a America no less.
Will you meet Salomondrin?
You should meet up with TheStradman...
Hey I'm from Singapore
Meet up with @TheSmokingTire , get in touch with him on Twitter.
Convertible mustang can go very wrong lol its cheesy even in California. Great video though
What car were you expecting?
Supposed to be getting something louder, faster and with a V8, anyway, never mind, Stang it is :)
Show us Alex Penfold
Why didn't you just fly straight to San Francisco from Singapore rather than all the way around the world. You could have cut your travel time effectively in half
It's 13000 miles.
Hi
WHY DID U NOT STAY IN SINGAPORE FMLFMLFML
Was the mustang a 5.0?
It was the Ecoboost (V6?)
+Daniel Martinez ecoboost is 4 cylinder
+extreme989 you can get a V6 in the US market but you're right it's not labelled Eco boost like the 2.3 four cylinder. Shame Sam didn't get the V8 though eh!
+extreme989 I knew it was the Ecoboost one but I didn't know the number of cylinders in it
👍
At the beginning I thought i was watching a Casey Neistat video
Find salomondrins 918
2:54 old vs new
That switch to the iPhone was horrific the quality was soo bad especially in the dark.... Rest of the vlog was good though 👏🏽👏🏽
bigote de leche!
you dont use an car for laggugage/bagguage ? you are not an travel expert ,but an car insider from an different circumstance "dance" !
and first comment
I bet you a million pounds most of those cobras were replicas. It's sad.
Probably but they were still awesome!
My dream car!
+Seen Through Glass yep I love cobras but, to find an original takes a lot, of searching
I'm sorry but it appears who have hired a hair dresser's car.
Haha I know, such fail
+Seen Through Glass Did you rent from enterprise?
PLZ do a vid with salomondrin
Haha I think Sam should sit in on an episode of hot box hot topic
WoW, those wrinkles on your forehead!
Why did you not just simply travel eastbound from Bali to Singapur to SanFran?
Singapore*
meet up with The Stradman Sam
Looks like Sam spotted his car, and the stradman spotted Sam.
What so why couldnt you fly direct from Bali to San Fransisco? Instead of going around the world
I had booked by return flight to Bali before I booked my trip to the US
Seen Through Glass Ah ok thanks
You need to meet up with TJ Hunt if possibly
What were you meant to get as a hire car?
What were you meant to be getting?
5.0 Mustang I think
It was an ecoboost
Hellcat challenger
So many RUclipsrs are going there this year... Must go next year :)
I believe the cobra in America is called the Shelby Cobra, since they can't use the AC name in America for some reason.
Sorry but it is called a shelby in America because Carol shelby had a meeting with ac motors about making a more powerful ac coupe which once he made the more powerful shelby version the version of the car was called the shelby cobra because it had been modified and Carol shelby was from America hence why the shelby version is more common in America and I am talking about the original ones not the replicas
they can't use AC cause you Americans get confused thinking it's an air conditioning :)
+andrew hardman true, but "AC Cobra" is actually the original name for the car since the car itself is British.

Sounds like a miserable trip (jet lag for days, literally!) but an awesome destination!
Have a wonderful journey Sam!! Although, it's unbelievable how many of you guys (e.x. effspot, TheStradman, Speedracer38, Marchettino, DLMPhotos, etc) joined the Monterey Car Week. ;)
So jealous!

And enjoy!!!
Why did you go westward when you could have flown east towards SF!?
Great video but your journey must be a lot more than 7000mi. Even Singapore to San Francisco is more than 8000mi directly 🤔
That looks more like Carmel,CA then Monterey? I'm from San Jose which is 2 hours back towards San Francisco.
Hey +SeenThroughGlass , how did you get that animation @1:30?
P.S. As always, amazing stuff.
came here from the Stradman's channel. subbed right away. Looking forward to watching your vids
27 hour flight, 7K miles.
That was one slow airplane.
Are you fucking dumb
Nah, not slow... He just flew the wrong way, it should have been a 12 -14 hour flight from Singapore. He flew almost twice the miles he actually went.
Fred StapelbedTM Nah. Apparently you are.
How much does it cost to rent a car in America? It's super expensive here in Sweden, and so many people do it in the US...
7000 miles - that's crazy .... That's how far my car has been over the last (and it's first) 3 years 😃
I have a red MX5 and being english, if its dry, the roof is down.
Also, don't stop moving if it rains :p
Wouldn't it make more sense to cross the pacific ocean though?
Can't wait to see more of your trip on this side of the world :)
You flew the wrong direction, from Singapore it should have taken 12 - 14 hours.
Two of my best vloggers Seen through Glass and Paul Wallace. keep it up man.
fuck yes! mustang sure does scream MURICA! Welcome to my home enjoy your stay!
