What do you mean Spring location? I just change my battery as it's not open in my door, And I can't use the key as the mechanism inside the door is not catching with the key. Any advice I don't understand spring rotation

Hello I dropped my key it popped apart and the transponder fell out I cannot find it what should I do it now does not start car . and now the remote does not open car but the red light flashes inside the remote I am so frustrated now I cannot start the car . I wish I could remove this totally from my car and be able to buy keys cheaply . The remote is now in pieces until I find the transponder . The security has worked so well I cannot find a cheap way to fix my now serious problem . Thanks is you can help me I live in the USA. Mercedes is gonna really get me in the wallet I feel. Thanks if you can help me . I have only one key
Very very helpful! It is so straight forward but those technicians want to exploit us preying on the ignorance of most car owners.It is easier to do it yourself than engage so called technician who are just money greedy crooks. How does one get a duplicate circuit board to get a spare key ?
It's not as easy as it looks. I changed the FOB on a 1999 SLK and had to make adjustments to the white part that holds the magnet in place. As for opening the old FOB, I had to completely destroy it........

U have no idea how important this video is to me. Lol. Really. I couldn't figure out how ro open my fob without breaking it. U solved it for me.

I got to minute 1:42 but couldn't get past minute 1:51. I couldn't get the case off. :(
