@LovinneLily Sm (or at least lsm) had that vision, nct was supoosed to be that. But the fandom did not want it. Public did not want it. Even the way nct u works now was hard to accept for the people. They were ahead of their time and the public did not get it. It is what it is now. Back in 2016 I thought every comeback there would be another unit. They couldn't even go with the Dream concept bc fandom wanted them fixed. And now as much as nct is a whole, they are also very much separete groups with different schedules and needs so an NCT 20XX project is a big collaboration that can only happen once in a while
@nowweinazone sooman had that vision ever since super junior, which wasn't supposed to be a fixed team, and always received backlash whenever he tried to add new members. I think it was for the best before in those cases, but with NCT I think it's a lack of spine. The dismantling of nct dream after years not adding anyone into it was clearly not going to be well received, but using NCT U more often COULD and should've been pushed forward: no members were being added, no permanent unit was going to be undone, it just was never properly used, just like an sporadic event. Also, the rare usage of nct full formation is half responsible for how devide the fandom is (there are people who only stan this or that unit, for example), there was never an attempt to get fans acclimated to stanning all 20+ guys back then and there still isn't any. I don't think lsm himself lacked the courage, but by then he was only a creative director. The primary shareholder, sure, but no longer the CEO, he more than ever had to answer to certain fan demands. I don't think he would've given up on that idea by himself, he hardly ever bowed down to fans whims, despite it all. I do believe the company lacked the balls to fight for that rotational ideal. Giving up on certain things, sure (not disbanding Dream, not adding as many new guys and such), but the whole "fans build a unit" like they had with 7th sense went down really quickly. Beyond any strategical decision, I call that fear.

The boys' performance was great, even if they are missing members they always give their best. Yuta is a great artist, he can change from a rock voice to a rap or a soft voice, he dances spectacularly and cheers on the team. YUTA I LOVE YOU.

군백기 들어가면 어쩔수 없이 인원이 적어지는데 남아있는 멤버들이 충분히 다 커버가 가능하니까 무대가 전혀 허전하지가 않음. 그리고 매번 느끼지만 127은 확실히 무대보는 맛이나고 잘하는 거 같음
