      The Scrubs players are bunch of show off not just Contreas plus you got the shortstop Baez that likes to show off when he hit home runs especially when he showed up Amir Garrett during a game vs the Reds. Speaking of the Reds I wouldn't be surprised if the Reds could after the Cubs because the history of brawls those two teams had through the years especially with Mario Soto going after most of the Scrubs players.

    - Willson Contreras instigated this incident, as he said something to Home Plate Umpire [HPU] on the Strike Call BEFORE the Home Run (Truth be told, the HPU was very generous with the Strike Calls Tonight on the Inside and Outside Corners, based on Strike Zone Analysis). Because of this, I cannot fault Flowers for reacting the way he did, as I believe he was trying to defend the HPU. Thankfully, this incident did NOT turn violent. However, I gotta give props to Former Brave Jason Heyward for trying to deescalate the situation at hand. Though he may be a former Brave, he still has Great Sportsmanship and is a Class-Example of a Great Baseball player both On and Off the field.

      Well to all that think that these players arent expected to be role models then you need to rethink that thought. In every players co tract there is a code of conduct as to what is expected of each player and how they are to act . MLB has certain expectations of players also as to their activities. Especialy on the field during play. Using foul language and fighting during play certainly isnt expected. What i was refering to was duri g a game with fans present unacceptable behaviour period. The problem was the pitch before he didn’t agree that it was a strike and said something to the ump, Flowers for some reason decided he needed to be in the conversation, then the pitcher tried a quick pitch and he hit it in the basket, so basically flowers needs to stop holding the umps balls and come to his defense. Contreras had an issue with the Flowers because when he said something to the ump the pitch before Flowers started mouthing off. Also he wasn't yelling into the dugout. That's something he does every time he hits a HR. Not sure if it's towards the crowd or the first base ump. He does it when he comes around 3rd too.

    So many comments about Contreras walking away as he talks. None about how Teheran has nothing but air and opportunity between himself and the Cubs, but only acts like he wants some when someone starts holding him back LOL

    Contreras don't want no smoke. Yelling while running to first, rounds the bases, touches home players and starts yelling as he's backing up to the dugout. "Hold me back, Heyward!"

    Flowers representing his last name though, as soft as one. Nine times out of ten it's entitlement, players thinking they could talk down to players who's English isn't great (Puig perfect example hated on by practically everyone) and get all butt hurt when they get a response. Announcers will usually make it seem as though the non native player is out of line. Ignoring that obviously Flowers was talking smack and laughing in Contreras' face but the bat always speaks louder and clearly no translations needed.

    Why do the benches need to clear if punches aren't being thrown? The purpose of a bench clearing is to break up a fight and protect your teammate.

    • @sadbravesfan
      @sadbravesfan 5 лет назад

      Do you know how many punches could be thrown by the time they waited for the first one to happen? Plenty of people have been knocked out in seconds.

    Not a fan of either team, love baseball though. He or a teammate needed hit by a pitch after that. Umps stay out of it till it's handled. Then give warning. Best way to fix a problem is through the teammates you just hit with a fastball.

      Yes the Scrubs players are show off thinking that they're all bad to the bone or something. Let Contreras, Baez, Rizzo try to do that vs the Reds and oh by the way they got an upcoming series vs the Reds. The history between them and the Reds has been a war the brawls going back the 80's to this era. Guys like Amir Garrett, Michael Lorenzen, Raisiel Iglesias on the Reds that throws hard wouldn't surprise me if one of them goes after the Scrubs hitters.
