Epilogue = tears for me every time. It’s one the most emotional and beautiful songs I’ve ever heard.

I discovered this band 2 years ago and sice then...I guess I was lovebitten.They are one of my favourites.
Asami...in my top 5 female metal singers.Her voice in therms of techinque is absolutely incredible.She is ALWAYS in control of every single note with an incredible incredible stamina.Every single time!And she is getting better and better.In metal scene there are not many vocalists who sing without making mistakes.Asami is different.She brought to the metal scene another lever of quality.The entire band is extremly solid but Asami s voice is the blessing.Her voice fits perfectly with everything they do.
Personally I am overwhelmed by Asami s voice.Singing correctly it s kinda rare in this days.I felt in love of heavy/power metal since I was 13 years old.Now I am 40 and the feeling is the same.This band is a very very special revelayion to me.
And one more thing about Asamy ...she has such a majestic presence and the most beautiful smile with no trace of vulgarity.
P.S. although I hate my job ...I am a welder as well :) stay well mate

The lyrics mean well - they’re trying to illustrate that it’s OK to hurt and OK to cry, because being honest about the awful stuff that happens to you makes you more empathetic to what others around you are going through. It’s just that the lyrics make such absolute statements: “If you have never failed/You can’t be happy for success/If you have never loved/You can never feel the love from others.” As the song gets ramped up, it becomes a statement of pride in one identity, with Asami pleading for us to be “Just the way you are” in the long coda. That’s the only point in the song, as the twin electric guitars come back in for a slower, more graceful solo section. The razor-sharp distortion endemic to the metal genre is still on full display. At seven minutes long, it’s certainly shooting for epic status, which it mostly achieves, thanks to how well the band pays off the expected climax after all the slow buildup.
It's okay to cry to this song, many has don it and many more will do it.
I for myself think that I have cried to almost every Lovebites song there is, It is something in their music that speaks to my soul, and it just grabs me, hard..

This video is two songs. The first was the very emotional "Epilogue" and the second song was "Don't Bite the Dust" and they were taken from the concert titled "Daughters of the Dawn".

With a lot of Lovebites songs, I don't actually cry, but my eyes do tend to just leak a fair bit of salty water. Just from the sheer beauty of the music.
However!! There is one song where I did catch my breath and actually cry at one point. That song is 'Journey To The Other Side'. A song written by Miho & Miyako about the death of Miho's father. Asami sings it to the heavens with such respect. There is a section with Miho & Asami together that tears at my Soul every time.

I try to get every new reactor to Lovebites to watch Epilogue as their immediate next reaction. It was as a result of watching this performance two years ago that I instantly fell in love with Lovebites, and as I never tire of saying, within 30 seconds my brain had already decided that I had a new favourite band and that there would be no weak songs in their catalogue, a fact that can in fact be deduced from the first 30 seconds of any Lovebites song if it’s the first time you’ve heard them. Not only did I fall in love with the band but in particular I fell head over heels in Love with Asami. Not since Ronnie James Dio have I seen a vocalist invest so much of themselves into every note of every song that they sing. Asami pours her very being into that microphone in this song…and does so in pretty much every song. As she herself has said, she sings as if it’s the last time she’s ever going to sing….every time. I subscribed yesterday, which for me is rare, because I only watch Lovebites reactions, or a few other specific artists because I want to see how others enjoy them as much as I do. I’m not on a quest for new music, Japanese or otherwise. I found the best band I’m ever likely to hear two years ago. I’ll not find better and so it’s pointless wasting my ears and eyeballs on it! I KNEW you’d love both of these songs and I fail to understand why the majority of “vocal coaches” on RUclips basically ignore Asami, despite being asked to check her out. To my ears she’s on a par with anyone, yes, including Floor, if only for different reasons.

@@welderreactor Yeah, LOVEBITES changed my life the same way only Nightwish did about 22 years ago. From the first notes of the first song (Swan Song), I knew I found something truly great. And, for me at least, Epilogue is the absolute top.
Anyway, since I subbed, I hope I'll see you doing many more LOVEBITES songs soon. ;)

This very talented band is amazing, Asami fantastic voice, Miyako what to say a goddess of music, piano, guitar, bass, voice... she has everything and also writes, arranges and composes awesome, Midori exceptional guitarist of great presence on stage, Miho (sigh) talented bassist soul Metal of the band and finally Haruna often underestimated but is the tireless I Love Lovebites and listening to them is always an immense pleasure. That was another amazing reaction and that were other amazing songs. Yes, this was two songs from the concert "Daughters of the dawn". And the songs were "Epilogue" and "Don't bite the dust". And I was waiting these your emotions... I love both songs. And "Epilogue" was from their E-songs :) You still don't listen to "Edge of the world".

Pretty hard not to fall in love with greatness which is Lovebites. A great react and Epilogue is a bona-fide ballad masterpiece and an emotional rollercoaster, followed up by a gallop-filled Don't Bite The Dust which I love. Most of us have experienced the same as you did. Hope you'll check out a MV, specifically, Shadowmaker. My favorite song by them, it's a great one. 🤘🐺

This might be among the cheesiest of the power ballads, but it’s a fitting enough ending considering what’s led up to it. Asami handled the music and lyrics for this one, and always find it interesting.for the first few minutes of the song, the instrumentation is stripped back to mournful.contemplative acoustic guitars, and to hear the band in such a restrained setting is actually quite nice for a change, even if it means Asami’s taking the full-on “idol singer” approach.
You are obviously a fellow fan of Lovebites, so here's some news that you may not have heard yet. They announced just today that they are releasing a new album on Feb. 11th, and going to start doing live shows again in March. I wouldn't be surprised if they release 1 or 2 music videos before the album release date. I would also not be surprised if they make a concert DVD of their March shows, since it will be the first show with their new bass player, Fami. Something for us all to look forward to. Right?

I'm sorry friend. When I recommended Epilogue I should have warned you about this particular uploader, they like uploading 2 songs together. The video you watched has 2 songs, the first one is Epilogue, and the upbeat one is Don't Bite the Dust (one of Asami's favorite LOVEBITES songs to sing and also their very first single).
