Something I've struggled with is the judgement from others. That's really difficult for me bc everyone around me, and most people in general, are having casual sex. I know girls & guys my age who've slept with over 15 guys/girls (not judging!) and I've never even done anything with a guy and honestly sometimes it's embarrassing when people find out I'm still a Virgin. As for lust.. I mean, that's not easy either but you have to remember that sex is so incredibly intimate. It bonds people together. Even if you're not a Christian, you get emotionally attached. That's why friends with benefits never work out and one person always develops feelings. If you lose your virginity to someone who sees sex as something casual, a one time thing, and you form this attachment to that person (subconsciously), but for the other person you're just one out of many, it's no big deal to them, then you're in trouble. I personally could never sleep with someone who I don't even know. But that's just me. To each their own.

Something I've struggled with is the judgement from others. That's really difficult for me bc everyone around me, and most people in general, are having casual sex. I know girls & guys my age who've slept with over 15 guys/girls (not judging!) and I've never even done anything with a guy and honestly sometimes it's embarrassing when people find out I'm still a Virgin.
As for lust.. I mean, that's not easy either but you have to remember that sex is so incredibly intimate. It bonds people together. Even if you're not a Christian, you get emotionally attached. That's why friends with benefits never work out and one person always develops feelings.
If you lose your virginity to someone who sees sex as something casual, a one time thing, and you form this attachment to that person (subconsciously), but for the other person you're just one out of many, it's no big deal to them, then you're in trouble.
I personally could never sleep with someone who I don't even know. But that's just me. To each their own.

It's amazing how clear your vision and how much clearer you can hear the voice of God when sex isn't clouding your judgement. I've had to go into a season of isolation from family, friends and what was familiar. I continue to build a relationship with Jesus. I'm not where I want to be but I'm a lot further than where I was.
