It's rare to see an idol that is very creative and unique like Soyeon. That's why when (G)I-DLE have a comeback it's something different and unique, you always have something new to look forward in her group. Stanning them is worth it because they feed their fans so well.
I love everything about this comeback! The music, the album design, even the way this comeback was promoted! And as it turns out, it was all suggested by Soyeon herself! I hope more labels learn from this and let their artists have more creative freedom in their careers overall because as we see here, it works.
The very reason why she didn't switch to other big agencies (more influential than Cube) after PD 101 era. She always wanted this freedom & artistic power. She knew those big agencies won't give her the freedom to work on music. In fact, female songwriter and producer ever since debut is not just rare, it's kinda non-existing in KPop. But Soyeon was able to debut solo with her own written songs (Jelly and then Idle song) and then debut again with a group with her self-written song. Now, she's become an inspiration for new groups! Who's doing it like her ever since debut? 😎
even if the photoshoot doesn't fit the mv style, Soyeon said this album is about her growing up, going into her mid-twenties, and such. I think from that perspective the photobook is a good choice since the aesthetic is mixed a lot between mature and young adult style.

This packaging reminds me of Bobby’s lucky man album The little round character at the front, the retro (?) type of feel with the checkered strips, and the fact that the album packaging itself is like a little food container type of thing (his is a pizza box cause he has a lot of love for pizza) Both are super cute I don’t stan her group but I ended up listening to “is this bad …” because of the BIBI feature and I’m obsessed

Sadly, when (G)I-DLE went into their popularity era AKA the "I Trust" era, Cube started to degrade the packaging quality. I wonder if they were just greedy! They literally threw the CD in a paper box, how pathetic! 🤐 As long as their contract period exists, I'm pretty sure Cube won't dare to mistreat them since they're the company's main cash cow. Soyeon being their leader also gives me a lot of hope cuz she knows Cube's past history of treating their groups. I'm not quite sure whether (G)I-DLE will extend their contract when their contract period ends with Cube (4M disbanded and CLC is gonna disband soon), but even right now, all of them (except Shuhua cuz she still needs a bit more polishing to go solo) can go solo and make it a successful one. Also, they might want to go a new direction, say Yuqi is now really really popular in China, Miyeon is also popular in Korea & continue her acting career, Soyeon might be releasing full hiphops in the future, Soojin's charisma and sexiness can make her a ''wanted" idol again (if the mess is cleared hopefully), Minnie's unique vocal and she's grasping Thailand too. It's just my opinion tho cuz I want them to continue for many many years even if they go solo and try different things. Extremely sorry for the long reply.

But the staff said it'd be difficult to actualize the idea but they succeeded. In the end, the package came out like this & if I'm not mistaken, Soyeon confirmed later in an interview that the exterior of the package is handmade. 🤗
