For anyone wondering, the cartridges were printed with Jessie PLA Tan #64 from Printed Solid. It is a very close match to the color of a breadbin that isn't discolored.
The kernal switcher works very well in a 1541 disk drive to switch between JiffyDOS and stock and also change the device number of the drive if you set it to 8 ROM mode and connect the A14 and A15 address lines to the device select inputs on UC3 VIA pins 15 and 16. Connect the reset line to the 6502 and it will reboot the drive when you change "modes". The boards are also useful without the controller as an EPROM adapter. The ATTiny will remember the last bank selected and can be moved between machines without connecting the I/O if you want to use it for testing purposes. You could mount the LED directly to it as well as a small pushbutton and program it with a kernal ROM, a Basic ROM and a character ROM and use it for testing. It's a very versatile device if you think outside the box. I believe the firmware on the ATTiny is an out of date version. I didn't realize that I flashed an old version until after I shipped it.
The button on the Wifi modem will reset both the C64 and the modem. If the C64 is reset by another cartridge, etc, it will also reset the modem.
As another person pointed out, Sam's Journey doesn't use the REU's memory, but just uses the DMA controller to move the memory around, making it a good real world test of the design. PAL machines don't need the REU to play Sam's Journey. Apparently there is more time for the CPU to process code between scan lines on the PAL machines than on an NTSC machine and Sam's Journey pushes the hardware to the absolute limit. It's a great game too. If you haven't played it, you should check it out.
My wife is from Bolivia. I think she ordered the chocolates from Amazon. They are not a Prime shipping item and they take quite a while to arrive from Brazil.

Fun facts: the game Monopoly is actually strangely called "Matador" here in Denmark. Haribo makes ordinary "Piratos" which are pretty much just the standard soft and salty black liquorice, "Super Piratos" which you have just encountered and I have loved since childhood, "Mini Super Piratos" which is the same just in a smaller sized form factor. Some years back they made some even stronger "Super Pepper Piratos" obviously with an added peppery taste and which are dearly missed by yours truly. As you have probably figured out by now, there are no "Super" Piratos in the "Matador Mix"... maybe there is in the "Dark Matator Mix" variant, I don't remember.

I have never seen those Super Pepper Piratos, but perhaps i should be glad i haven´t? I love the "regular" Super Piratos though. As far as i can recall, those were the only kind of Piratos we had back in my childhood and youth, back in the 60s and maybe into the 70s.

Serenata de Amor is a Brazilian chocolate candy that is normally comes in boxes of Garoto. It's very similar to the Argentinean Bon O Bon. Both are delicious! They are like a ball of hard peanut butter-ish, covered with wafer and chocolate.

You´re right, they do look quite similar... i had to google the Pontefract cakes to find out what they look like. However, i doubt that they taste alike; as a Dane, i am very familiar with the Piratos - they are among my favourites in fact - and as Adrian reported, they do have a strong taste. I have also had some experience with british licorice, e.g. Bassetts, which i find very bland in comparison. We Danes are weird! lol 😂🤣😃😄😅

@@BertGrink Yeah, I find the Bassetts and Haribo versions week as well. But the original Pontefract cakes made in Pontefract, (only 50-60 miles from me), are a lot stronger. I don't know if the factory is still running or not though.

    • @BertGrink

@@frankowalker4662 They were still made until 2004, at least; Wikipedia has this health warning:
"In 2004, healthcare professionals warned against overindulgence in Pontefract cake after a 56-year-old woman was admitted to hospital following an overdose. The woman consumed about 200 grams (7.1 oz) daily, leading to dangerously low potassium levels and subsequent muscle failure. Earlier in 2004, the European Commission had recommended limiting consumption of the active ingredient, glycyrrhizic acid, to 100 mg or less per day."
Even though i love licorice, 200 grams daily seems a bit excessive.

Here in the UK licorice is enjoyed by many, but our licorice is sweet, whereas yours is salty. Got some a few years ago from a visiting Dutch friend and we weren't keen. The Gouda and the stroopwafels were very well received though :D

@@jaycee1980 Yeah I know the Uk ones as well, they seem to have a very low “sweetwood” and salmiak content, which gives that tase. It all depends on what you grew up with I think. :) The differences are what makes it fun.

Hi Andrian. I am from Denmark as Well.
The coin and the square ones in The Matador Mix is sweet in taste, Not strong at all. The Brown with stripes is called “labre larver”. Its translated to “delightfull carterpillars”
The Piratos is a brand for it self Not mixed. We have one there are kind off Piratos taste, Blue Jeens, But More mild. The Piratos are The strongest we have. I like to Munch Half a bag when i do electronic and IT stuff, because licorice do rise your blod pressure. I dont Fall a sleep as easy.
But your face. Priceless. 🤣. Sorry, But i started to laugh already when you unboxed it. Not many from outside of Scandinavia like it so strong. But we have grown up with it, so i guess our wiking geens have given us strong taste buds 😁
    Kind regards from Dannie, Denmark.
Ps. I have thought up an theoretical improvement for The c64, i May contact you about it in The future.
Ceep up The good work on youtube. I love to see you fix all kind of stuff. I guess you must be an engineer or something like thet.

In the Matador Mix, you skipped a liquorice assuming it was a Super Piratos. I can tell you it definitely isn't as it's much sweeter :-)
