@@backgroundchan2984 Cis isn't an identity, it's an adjective. And your argument is an old one - when I was a kid, they were saying "I'm not STRAIGHT, I'm NORMAL". Straight people didn't identify that way because they saw themselves as the default that didn't even need to be labelled, and everyone else was a freakish variation. But they got used to the idea that people not like them *are* normal, and now use the label "straight" without worry. Then, as now, it's not really the word you find insulting. It's the fact that it decentres you as the norm and standard by which all others are judged.

In rare but still extant cases it is necessary to perform a radical surgical procedure called a hemicorporectomy, in which all bodily material below the hips is removed and vital systems are rerouted, in order to save someone's life. Even thinking less radically procedures like orchiectomy, prostatectomy, hysterectomy, oophorectomy, mastectomy, and even in some cases penectomy are all still used to treat various cancers. Something like that is a traumatic enough experience without a bunch of idiots telling you that you're no longer a woman because you had the gall to survive and seek proper medical treatment.

or even just…a medical condition that’s really more common than everyone thinks it is. both endometriosis and PCOS can mess with fertility - it can get really bad. Endo treatment can include a hysterectomy. PCOS can cause higher testosterone levels, with effects like more hair growth, particularly facial hair growth (i believe there might be some discussion about maybe classing PCOS as an intersex condition, because of the various effects it can have on what we typically use to define sex, because our definition of sex is also incredibly damn flawed).
or even…cancer. cancer can mess with their definition of gender. why? well, breast cancer can necessitate the removal of breasts (and then, shock horror, cis women may desire gender affirming care after a mastectomy), and other cancers (ovarian, uterine, cervical etc.) can necessitate removal of sex organs.

However, if a person can't communicate, they can't confirm their gender status, and, if they gain the capacity to confirm their gender, they're not women if they confirm they are. When you're looking to satisfy a certain natural urge of that nature you eventually find that there is a surprising amount of MSM adult material both made by and staring trans men, and it's actually far easier to find stuff that isn't objectifying and dehumanizing featuring trans men then it is to find similar stuff featuring trans women. Overall I'd venture that the gay male community is probably more accepting of a guy with a V than the lesbian community is of a girl with a D, and both are more accepting than the cishet community is of either of the aforementioned. Makes things hard for a girl who's realizing she's leaning hetero.

Just because life is not about strict rules. Also, attraction to a certain gender can be dissociated from attraction to a certain bodytype : you can be attracted to only one gender but their genitals and whole body are not that important, or fall in love with someone for their personality and they have the bodytype you are confortable with, and turned out their gender is different but you're already in love.
And if you are ONLY open about one gender, one kind of genitals and bodytipe and agab, that's okay, but just let everyone else live their relationships how they want to !!!!!

I LOVE the "happy ending" of this video showing the contrast in turnout for the different protests! With the explosion of very vocal transphobia that seems to be happening lately, I think it's such an important reminder that there probably really are more supportive people than not; the transphobes just seem to be quite loud and getting a lot of airtime at the moment. It is exhausting and disheartening though, even if the transphobes are (hopefully) in the minority. I am currently going through cancer treatment, and though I'm in my 20s, I'm being treated at a children's hospital, as my cancer is more typically seen in pediatrics. On a recent trip to the hospital for one of my clinic visits, there were a bunch of anti-trans people holding up signs at the entrance and protesting gender-affirming care for trans youth -- and meanwhile, I'm literally just trying to come to the hospital for life-saving cancer treatment, and here are all these idiots basically saying that people like me shouldn't be here or really even exist. Some of their signs also said stupid things about "child mutilation", etc., which is just ridiculous, and once again, these people as usual just have no idea what they're even talking about, because if they actually did any real research they'd know that surgery isn't even part of gender-related care for children -- and what these people also seem to fail to realize is that, if children do have proper intervention and care at a young age, it will actually help them AVOID surgery or other more invasive procedures down the road in many cases, because they won't need it to un-do the damage from the first puberty that wasn't supposed to happen! Hell, I WISH I'd been able to have access to the kind of treatment these people claim is "child abuse" when I was younger, because it would've made so many things about my life a LOT less painful! Anyway, the whole experience just pissed me off, and made me especially mad that they were spewing all this hate in front of a freaking CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, where kids and young people are coming for all sorts of treatments, many of which are life-or-death situations (like cancer treatment!), yet all they can focus on is their transphobic agenda -- and I'm sure I'm not the only trans patient who had to see that that day. It just makes me upset that these types of people are getting so much attention in the media -- and, yes, that they spend so much of their time literally just being hateful seemingly for the sake of just being hateful and their own stupid hateful agenda. So anyway, I just really appreciated the reminder at the end here about how even though these transphobes seem to be making a lot of ruckus lately, there really are probably far more people who are supportive than not. It's a wonderful reminder to step back sometimes and focus on the positive things like that.

I came up with my own terms and often spoke of people when sexing them as "that penis person" or "vagina person" and I didn't even know why. I was 14-20 when I did that. No one questioned it. It seemed reasonable to me and my peers, like, just normal terms. Man and woman was seperate from that completely.

I just really don't understand what the question is. LET PEOPLE LIVE AND BE and just.. wtf. Love you btw. My bf showed me your channel. If someone tells him they use they/them or that they are nonbinary, he won’t really understand it but will refer to them as they/them and will call them nonbinary. They have a mental condition that they can't control, bullying them and shaming them is only going to make it worse. You are also not a psychologist who could help them, maybe they are seeing one to help them get better. You shouldn't act as a psychologist on a professionals behalf, you'll end up making things worse for the poor individual.
People who are trans do not belief that they are the opposite sex, they know that they're trans, gender dysphoria is the disalignment they feel when society perpetrates ideas and roles onto them based on their body part, people wanting others to use different terms for them, such as pronouns can be easily been seen like a peference in a nickname. Some people are trans, some people are Nonbinary, how you can even jump to grand conclusions like "trans being a delusion" is beyond me, its quite a leap and is far from the truth, its disrespectful to trans people and it spreads misinformation about those suffering from actual delusions. Also, less than 30% of Americans were republicans in 2020 (74 million out of 255 million voter aged Americans).

I'd suggest finding a local planned parenthood or other sexual health or LGBT+ aid program, as they usually have at least a recommendation or two if not a straight-out list of all the places/doctors nearby who will do it.

Most gender affirming surgeries are also for non-gender affirming reasons as well... Such as Cis people's genital damages for whatever reason or elective surgeries such as breast implants or the like, just as hormone therapy is also for Cis peoples with hormone imbalances or post hysterectomy patients. Thus, yes, just as many other types of surgeries can be found online, so to can gender affirming surgeries. If one is seeking these photos or videos, they can also be obtained through surgeons who specialize in these types of surgeries.

But they think that’s avoiding the question even though it’s right. I have to give them a whole essay on how “woman” is an abstract social category that evolved from the category placed on those who appeared to fit what we call the female sex. But it is specifically the language used for and cultural role traditionally associated with the female sex, not the female sex itself. And the English term derived from the term “wife man” but women nowadays don’t have to be wives to be considered women. It is simply the cultural language you use to describe yourself

An online cis woman friend of mine in the USA was refused entry to a toilet, because having masculine features, she was mistaken as being trans. Having been skeptical at first, she is now a solid trans ally.
That person claiming human beings can tell cannot even spell "sexes". So much for them trying to appear educated.
SNP MP Joanna Cherry was responsible for holding up gender Self-ID in Scotland, which her own party had promised to implement by 2021. She has consistently objected to being called a transphobe. However, she has recently become involved, along with Labour MP, Rosie Duffield, with a right-wing think tank, Policy Report, on their project, "Biology Matters", which claims gender is purely biological. That utterly denies the very existence of trans people, which is not only transphobic, but openly and dangerously so.
Therefore, so long as Joanna Cherry denies my existence (I'm non-binary), I am not going to be afraid to spare her feels. She IS a transphobe, and has proven herself to be one by her own actions.
And what's, having become involved with a think tank which has the ear of the Conservative government Scotland never voted for, I will openly call this woman who claims to want an independent Scotland, as I do, a unionist and a fucking Tory to boot.

NorCal isn't 100% because it is a bit conservative here, but I am still feeling lucky to be on the west coast in a LGBT+ friendly state. Transphobes also forget that menopause is a thing. Women tend to be relegated to the background after a certain age, but being pushed out of the womanhood once fertility has passed is harsh. They're certainly the same people who claim erectile disfunction doesn't happen to "real men". But they also say there are only male and female, so at either of those points in time (or one of their other weird rules) we all become trans.

Speaking as a white guy, I find it extremely crass, self-serving, shortsighted, and painfully lacking in self-awareness when white people try to co-opt black civil rights figures to serve their own political ends.
