My Grandma used to have parkinson's and on a good day she was told she was doing well. really makes me angry when people make uneducated comments

Agree about Longstaff….cannot see him playing in the first choice team next season. We were our own worst enemy. We should of scored with the chances we had. Dummett was a disgrace. Im a Sunderland fan but I am disgusted that you were treated that way. Im not ashamed to say that I listen in to your channel as you are one of the only ones who tells it as it is good or bad. I hope that you get an apology from the club as that kind of behaviour is unacceptable at any club.

Mate I'm f*****g outraged by that steward. Why didn't anyone else who heard her intimidate you like that back you up. No one with a disability should be bullied in that way. Paul have the same issues had 3 heart attacks arrested 3 times was clinically dead for 10 mins this was in the space of 12 hours was in the freeman for a month in a coma because am 45 people say your young nothing wrong with you because of age I have memory problems issues with mobility am registered disabled but the grief I get is unreal I was also a health care worker who looked after people with dementia and end of life for 22 year it makes me angry and upset how judgmental people are I get incredibly frustrated and start stammering it's horrible mate 😢

I have the same problem Paul, I don’t look ‘disabled’ (whatever disabled is meant to look like?!?) and I also have a disabled ticket. This kind of attitude is absolutely despicable, absurd and down right disrespectful and disgusting. I haven’t been questioned but I do get looks and it’s just not on. Please do complain because change can only happen if we do. Please let us know how you get on.

Yes I’ve been question a few times having a child’s ticket because I’m ambient disabled. They need to update the system so we’re not questioned. They also need to sort out the disabled entrance in the gallowgate. At the minute anyone is using it causing a queue. The stewards ain’t doing their jobs correctly.

I have Epilepsy Paul ive faces this many times over the years, I dont look disabled as many many disabled people do but ive also seen people claiming all sorts that are not genuine and they give us a bad name.

Shocking how you were treated. I'm an HR 'expert' having been in that arena for 25 years. What she did there is highly illegal. IF she's being taught that then there's summit wrong with the training. Which I highly doubt, it's clear she's not fit for that role, & absolutely Newcastle need to know about it.

That is atrocious mate. I have a connective tissue disorder and scoliosis of the spine and chronic back pain. On the face of it I don't "look" disabled. You don't have to have external, visible features of a disability, most disabilities are caused by unseen factors inside the body. That's awful. Big up to you Paul 🖤🤍

You should have recorded that interaction - she deserves to be shamed and sacked for the barage of abuse she gave you. The least the club can do is apologise to you.
Paul hope you put in a written complaint via recorded delivery as well as a phone complaint and a written complaint via the website. I would ring them first telling them the complaint (to get the ball rolling) and that you will,be following up via a written complaint both by the website and post. Just a suggestion from experience write down notes in a sequences of events as to what happen what she said and you said in chronological order so its at hand when phoning and writing the complaint. It will make things easier for you, It is obvious reflecting on what happenned to you this person has either had not had adequate training or has completely ignored it. In either case then the club has fallen foul of the 2010 Equlities act either by not having the staff adequately trained or by direct/indirect discrimination. They have as well as fallen short on their own discrimination policies and could also be in breach of premier league rules with respect to discrimination.

Their penalty was stone wall ... however, towards the end a Newcastle player went down in their box yet absolutely nothing was done, and I've seen no replays anywhere of the incident. Was there anything in it or have the officials and TV downplayed it to try and brush it under the carpet?

I think Isak showed he definitely is not an out & out striker. Several times a ball was crossed in & he was nowhere near it. A couple of times he just stood & watched it go past.
It's happened to me twice in other places i know how you feel Paul tbh its a good job it wasnt me because i wouldn't of been so polite with her tbh people don't realise how much it hurts to be told you don't look ill or disabled take it a hell of a lot further and if you can tag Amanda in it as she will understand having an illness herself maybe she will take a look into it

100% agree with your view of the game. Shame that we didn't win. We didn't play great all game but overall should have won. Especially when we had that shot cleared off the line. If we got the 2nd. I'm sure Everton would have crumbled. I get we have injuries but even still, we should still be beating this Everton side. They are like us under Ashley. At least we know what we need. Still need more quality in the midfield and better luck with injuries. Let's hope that Hall is fit for Saturday. Such a positive player. Really hope he gets the rest of the season as our first choice Left Back.
As for the pen. That is just Dummet for you. He must still think that we live in a world without VAR. Absolute idiotic. But I guess he is 5th choice at full Back and mostly his level is most likely Mid Table League One Quality. He also has no football intelligence and never has.
I must say the lady at the ticket booth who gave you a hard time needs to be educated and trained better. You would think that it is basic knowledge that not all disabilities are visible or always visible. It is such an invasion of privacy to ask what someone's disability is. I hope you can get that situation sorted. I'm autistic and was diagnosed with it when I was a child and when people meet me in real life they never think that I'm autistic until I tell them. You have my sympathy with that.

Wow. Really sorry to hear what happened Paul. Im not at all surprised you're annoyed/upset. I agree with many of the comments already when they're saying it sounds like an education/training issue. Surely if you're customer facing and dealing with disabled supporters there needs to be a level of understanding there and its common sense to know not all disabilities are obvious or physically evident. Clearly this employee had it in her head from the start you were using someone else's ticket, but to then demand to know about a personal issue in front of other people is something else. I think the club need to know about this and just how poorly their staff have acted. That final comment of hers where she said you were too young to have the illness reflects her ignorance. Stupid people are more likely to say stupid things, I suppose.
i have similar thing, i broke my kneecap 18months ago, and it has left me with problems walking, i can walk without a crutch but only on the flat. Going down a slope or steps is very tricky. However folk do jump to the conclusion theres nowt wrong with me, and bitch on about me waiting(on benefits) for more nhs treatment.....a second op. Family are the worst for doing this!
