Man, I just really like Ladd McConkey and the way he runs his routes He has speed, he played on the outside, ran a complete route tree His film looks so clean to watch Yeah, he's 23 years old but I'm probably still drafting him in dynasty
Yeah. But everyone waits to evaluate these guys until they go against top competition aka bama. Any accountant on that team prolly ain’t starting, or getting any PT. @kevinblue1976
@@ahkeelcarter1791 He said *future accountants in the vid. What do you think 99% of the college football players do after they finish college? Every single player gets to go to the league? Calm down it's not that deep, they should be happy if they get to be accountants since a good amount of them are half-assing their education while they take their shot to play in the NFL.
This is deep man! I think something else to take into consideration of course is team and QB. The weird part is top of the draft is typically a struggling team… I’m in a pretty deep 12 team super flex dynasty TE premium half PPR deep bench… so this type of info is actually quite useful even 10+ppg is a reliable number
Why give Jalen McMillan the excuse of sharing the wr room with talent, but not Ladd? Ladd fought against some elite talent for touches. Bowers, Pickens, ad Mitchell, Jermaine Burton, Darnell Washington, and James Cook (rb, but very involved in the pass game). Add in transfers last year like Lovett and Rara Thomas. Those are 8 nfl pass catchers that Ladd competed against for touches.
This video has absolute dynamite data!! Would have loved to see you format the charts with a heat map and also show that change YoY. Round 2-3 21 year olds see a pretty significant jump for 10+
The stats are great but you’re not including variables like landing spot..Chase and JJ went to much better spots as rookies than some of those 22/23 year old players
I think the biggest challenge i have with age based analysis is the money that good players can make staying in college. Yes, top NFL money is still more but less financial pressure to come out early, even for top players.
@Dewyyyyyy I agree, makes it hard for me to apply this to groups that have been able to earn money, and the sample size of paid players is too small to make definitive statements like saying NIL doesnt impact the analysis
I offered my 2025 1st that projects to be a late one for Joe Mixon, who will fill my weakness in a ppr Superflex. I hold another 2025 first that projects to be early- mid. He hasn’t accepted yet. What’s your thoughts?
I’m in the same exact boat. The Mixon owner in my league is a pretender who thinks he’s a contender and hasn’t responded to the late 25 1st for Mixon deal for over 2 weeks now
@@kevinrogers26 the one in mine is a contender but has so few picks and enough good rbs that he’s willing to part. He just traded Josh Jacob’s and Aaron Jones for the 1.06 and Calvin Ridley

MHJ, Bowers, Caleb C. MHJ, Rome, Brian Thomas Jr
U dont NEED more wr once u got mhj, and the 1.03 should get u almost any skill player if u wanna trade out. Could even move back from the 1.05 if u think others dont need qb.(i got the 1.05 and 1.08 and hoping he falls to the 1.08)

Something about Ladd that I trust. The kind of guy you wouldn’t mind dating your daughter

what pick do you have? and what round are you getting him?
Only problem is his injury history
Agreed. I’m taking him in the mid to late second in my dynasty league
Not OP but I plan I taking him at 1.12 (12TM SF)@@juliangarcia-ob9bd

“Going against 18 year old Accountants” 😂😂😂
Borderline disrespectful being they all made division 1. That statement should be applied more to d II players.

Love it. 1 question though. Was any statistical analysis run to prove significance of the data. I’m assuming P
My team looking better and better because of videos like these
Just learn how to draft why would you want the same players on a team that this guy has, you need to have a uniqueness in your lineups. GUPPY

I'm curious if there is a difference in top 10 picks vs the rest of the 1st.
Hey Mason where do you pull all this data from that you’re able to filter it by first year, second year, etc. Do you do this on rotoviz?
This is amazing content. You can win your rookie draft with this information

Id be interested to know how many of the non-10/14 ppg dudes were either coming in with an injury or had an injury between years 1/2.

@@akaydnfb good point!
The fact that rounds 4-5-6-7 23+ year olds are twice as likely to hit as 22 or 21 year olds is super interesting actually.
young players in these rounds are projection types. 23+ guys are proven guys or late bloomers that would be 2nd or 3rd rounders if they were 21/22.
Dovante smith did break out late, but he also scored the game winning TD in a championship game
Didn’t think to mention he won the Heisman?
@kevinblue1976 that was his last season though (breakout season)
is this his peak? Eagles go as far as AJ allows them to go tbh
So basically draft Marvin Harrison Jr and Malik neighbors if you can. Got it
