I know some of these, the GBA version showing that sonic the hedgehog genesis could have been better. The SNES version showing how sonic 1 could have been on the snes without any of the snes special chips. But I wish there was a SNES version using the capabilities of the snes Mode 7 and SA-1 Chip
I’ve played at least 4 of these that I can recall. In the early days of emulation you would come across these from time to time. The ones I played were pretty bad but that PS1 bootleg looks amazing. Also the GBA one looks far better than the official SEGA port.
@@massproducedeva_ Makes sense. I imagine it takes a LOT of work just to make an Atari 2600 game that looks even remotely more complex than Pong, the kind of work that a homebrew dev is more willing to do than a bootleg dev.

I can't believe I've never heard of this little homebrew until now. I think this might actually predate Sonic Boom! as the oldest known Sonic fangame, come to think of it.
I have played most of the bootleg Game Boy Sonic games on emulator. Sonic 1 on the GBA was a proof of concept to counter the official port, Sonic Genesis. I think it was made by one of the guys who developed Sonic Mania.
i played that first sonic 1 on an old romsite when was nine. they were all glitchy, but i played them non the less. then i saw sonic on that list and thought it was legit.
Bold of you to expect I never played those, not only did I play them but many of which I had on real hardware as a kid, Sonic 6 on Gameboy in particular is quite good, dare I say high quality for a bootleg with surprisingly good controls and decent level design and lengthy enough content.

Those are all bootlegged, the real sonic the hedgehog game is for Sega Genesis, made by a real professional from Sega.

I have an emulator and it has snes Sonic 3
The PS1 and SNES demos were the best.
Also the music it's so similar to the sonic mania remix, that is a coincidence right?
Going from the genuinely-impressive Atari 2600 bootleg to whatever the heck Sonic 3D Blast 5 was supposed to be was the best part of video.
That's moreso a homebrew than a bootleg

sonic "3d" blast 5 is a earrape fest

I agree
this demo inderectly led to sonic mania like a decade later lmao
@@CrashFan03 yeah, cuz Simon Thomley made it
In the second one the sonics are just staring at you directly
Sonic should have been the main protagonist of Sparkster, to be honest.

For some reason sonic really fits sparkster
Why are you everywhere
Sonic SNES Voice looks like from wish💀 4:03
originally is Speedy Gonzales saying "¡Andale andale!" lol
and Mario is one of Speedy's friends saying "¡gracias!"
1:04 This game is just chip and dale rescue rangers 2
2:18 This game is just adventure island
Btw, "Mi ni Ikuzo! Hedgehog" was made by the same guy who would later develop and work on the Umihara Kawase series.

i played that first sonic 1 on an old romsite when was nine. they were all glitchy, but i played them non the less. then i saw sonic on that list and thought it was legit.
The Commodore 64 port looks great! I like how it's a port of the Game Gear/Master System version of the game, too.

Sonic the Hedgehog 5 on NES was actually skipping the first two stages, you could get them via level select or by loading in Somari
Dude Sparkster SNES Bootleg actually looked really good, it almost looked official, I kinda wanna play the game myself.
Я уверен то что Nintendo Entertainment System может выдавать графику получше
7:21 BEST ONE YET
My only issue with the sparkster rom hack is the bottom of the shoe, most frames are dark red/black and in some are gray as if it were modern sonic...
The ps1 one was way too amazing, but it think it's not finished💀

PS1 2D 😎🥶
PS1 3D 🤢🤮
