And the winner is... Meris Mercury7!!! Haha. Great vid man. Thanks for the cool sound demo. Some of those from the Blackhole were better than I expected.
The cloudburst has been my favorite simply for its ease of use, and the ensemble function there’s just something so special about it nothing else for me has replicated
For ambient applications nothing beats the Meris Mercury7 in my opinion. I've tried a whole lot of pedals and that's the only one that's still standing. That being said, I was REALLY surprised by the Flint!
Building my 'Ambient arsenal as we speak. Luckily, I had a few of these pricey pedals. Using two clean amps: Deluxe Reverb, Blackcat Cub use small pedalboard for comp and OD pedals then out of Strymon Chorus into El Cap Dly, into Cloudburst and finally into H90, out stereo to RC-500 looper to amps in stereo. I know I can go deeper into this and chase endless rabbit/worm holes! Great alternative to bar band practicing.
I own the Slotva, but rarely use it. I'm constantly using either the Meris Mercury 7 or the Immerse MK1, which I prefer to the MK2. And 80s mode on the Flint was deep and lush sounding.
The Flint 80s was really a surprise for me, very huge, dark and complex...I pretty much agree with you for all of them. One thing I don't understand, you mention in the title, ambient soundscapes, and for this the Blackhole is really great (maybe the ringing is a bit annoying),, but then you mentioned song writing in the video, and defintely for this genre the Blackhole is really not good. An asbolutely rare and excellent comparison by the way!
You can't beat the Flint 80s mode for this imo. It never does anything jarring or annoying to catch the ear and break the immersion. It's just perfectly tranquil and contemplative.
Neunaber Illumine for me. Any Neynaber reverb wins by a million compared to Strymon imo. Not only do Strymon ask ridicilous ammount of money for their products, their quality does not match their prices by a long shot. Or at least on Reverb imo. I am really curious about the Zelzah tho.
Nice comparison, and I'm with you.....had the Immerse for a bit but when I compared it to the gorgeous Cloudburst, off to Reverb it went!

Great comparison! All fantastic sounding verbs. I just ordered the Immerse and Flint to A/B them with my setup. Love me a big cavernous hall setting 🙌

That is 100% true

Damn, the Flint's 80's mode blew the Eventide out of the water

What's your favourite out of those you mentioned? I'm kind of torn on the ones you mentioned, as well as the eventide space

you should try the meris mercury 7 for bladerunner vibes if you haven’t already, apparently that was the inspiration for the pedal
Super!!!
They're all lovely in their own way but there is just something with the Wet setting on the Neunaber Immerse!
I agree with you all the time somehow.
Don't worry, that just means you have good taste! 🤪
What about the sustain mode on the immerse? I love that mode.

Walrus Slo is the best and it’s not even close. More affordable than so many others as well
Walrus es muy muy bueno!!!

Immerse mkii .because. Andy Timmons
Eventide is sooo overpriced...most of this effects are delay pedal effects you can make with a tc electronic delay
Just get a big sky
