    Nice work. I believe this is the first video on doing this on the B9 A4.
    Your videos have been very helpful.

    Thanks for the video... I have a 2018 A4, both engine mounts have oil leaking... your video is very helpful as I'm planning to replace both mounts.

    excellent video! doing research as mine are leaking on my 2018 s5 and im planning on replacing them myself. how'd you get the car on the stands? there's not a whole lot of room to get a jack and the stands under the car at the same time is why i ask. i liked how you mentioned the downshifting being smoother after the replacement as well seeing as mine does the exact same jerking on downshifts.

    Great video man. I wish there were more videos in general on the B9! About to replace the engine mounts on my 2018, also at 67k miles. Question- if I drive on new OEM engine mounts pretty rough, how long do you think they will last? I’m the third owner LOL

      I'd assume they're close to toast. Transmission mount too! You'll know when they're toast by the sound and thud. New OEM mounts feel amazing.

      I cannot give you a exact answer. I would estimate about 35k miles / 56k km they should last and yeah this is one of the elements that is prone to failure in these cars.

      Hey According to 034 motorsport .pdf replacement guide its called "engine support bearing" or "engine boom"

    Hey Wojtek, I would like to do this install but i want to make sure that i have all the parts necessary, can you send me a link to the part at minute 8:32. You mentioned in one of the comments that it's called "Engine support bearing" or "Engine boom" but I searched every where and can't find it. Can you please link me this, so that when i do the installation I can change it without needing to wait to get it. I have an Audi a4 b9. Thanks!

    Very goodfull video. You talked about transmission and that youre happy to answer questions.
    I have the A5 with same engine and transmission. I have for 2 months now a bump when downshifting from 3 to 2. I can hear and also feel it. Its happning right before stop while breaking. I have insert transmission mount. Asked a transmission service place. They sad that these types of transmission can have this and that it can be solved by software. I wil be very happy if you can advice and think with me.

      I have same issue with A5 B9 2.0 TFSI, I can hear clunk when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd and some slight shake when stopping on traffic light. I am not sure if that is because of engine/transmission mounts or it's some problem with dual clutch.
      I hope @wojtekpolanskib9 might know more about it to tell us.

    • @wojtekpolanskib9
      @wojtekpolanskib9  2 месяца назад +1

      Yup I had a bump / clunk when downshifting 2 to 1 engine mounts replacement fixed it for me. I think this its related with the part i showed in 08:23 this part ensures so the engine cannot "jump" upwards. So if the engine mounts are toast they allow to a lot of movement of the engine. Downshifting makes the engine hit the stopper (08:23) and on the video that rubber thing was torn as well. About the engine software It makes the gearbox run A LOT smoother as well.

      @@miket.1354 yes yes exactly same issue here. I have let doin a diagnose at a tranmission center. They sad that tranmission is mechanical in good condition. But it is related to the software and how the transmission works.
      I have tried 2 times adaptions but that doesn’t work. I have also install a transmission mount but it hasn’t solventhe issue. So I believe the transmission center and will let them optimize and also tune it. Hopefully it will work.

      @@wojtekpolanskib9thanks I will let check a mechanic to the mounts in your video. Let’s see if these are part of the problem.

    Hi Wojtek, I have a 2017 Audi A4 B9 with 55k miles. Whenever I'm on a hill or slight slope and allow the car to creep forward, it vibrates the entire car. The same thing happens if I go into reverse and let it creep back without acceleration. Do you think this could be related to the engine mount, or might it be something else? If it is the engine mount, I have a question: I see 034 sells two durometer types, 50 and 60. Which one did you get, and do you notice any additional cabin noise? I really appreciate any help you can provide.

    • @wojtekpolanskib9
      @wojtekpolanskib9  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi David, does it keep vibrating or is it just when the car starts moving? Did your car ever had the gearbox oil changed? Regarding the engine mounts I opted for the oem ones. 034 has ones without oil so they will definitely be less comfortable than oem but much more durable. What the oil does in the engine mounts there is a valve system that controls the stiffness of the mounts. So under dynamic acceleartion it stiffens up and under normal driving it allows for more comfortable gear changes etc. The problem with the oem ones they tend to break pretty quickly (leak oil).

      @@wojtekpolanskib9 Hey, Yes i changed the ATF and MTF oil recently. To answer your question, it's when the car starts moving, if I smash the breaks, the vibrations go away, and it's only when the car Creep mode wants to move forward or backward. Could it be the engine mounts or transmission mount?
