1. The video represents a contemporary Garden of Eden.
2. The apple is a symbol of knowledge and temptation (reinforced by her singing 'I know that is wrong, but I want to have fun') 3. The chair represents the relationship that she's had with her ex husband. Her marriage is all over the place: the chairs are either on the ground, smashed, or gathered up in a big pile. She's clearly struggling to hold everything together while the chaos unravels behind her.
4. At one point, Adele sings 'I won't leave myself behind' while a boy plays in the background which might symbolise her desire to keep a strong relationship with herself and her son Angelo, despite her marriage breaking down.
5. There's a girl on the floor with a pen and a piece of paper which might represent how Adele managed to survive writing this album.
6. In another scene (towards the end of the video) we see a girl picking daisy petals and a black horse behind her. Might mean that even though love is unsteady, she is still in control of her life.
7. Of course, the chair on fire is Adele letting go of her past.
8. Adele biting the apple is her embracing the knowledge that she's gained in the past years and moving on. (just like Eve)

Since i first posted this I noticed a couple of other hidden messages such as:
- Adele mirroring herself at the beginning, representing her duality. She's fighting herself and doesn't know yet how to overcome the failing marriage.
- the man at 2:06 which resembles an angel with a halo above his head.
- there's a snake at 1:57. Just like the serpent in Genesis.
-the dancers might symbolise chaos and life at the same time. Adele ignores them until the very end as she's too caught in her own inner battle (as the verse says: she is 'teetering on the edge of Heaven and Hell' and realises that there's no point in fighting this battle)
I'm not saying I got everything right because this is art... there are a thousand different perspectives and possible hidden messages and every single one is valid 💙

From the start to the finish we see her different moods, memories and personal moments while she fights herself not to go back to him. Her inner warrior and her inner feminine and craving for intimacy seem to be at war with each other. In the end she eats the apple as a final punctuation and proclamation: I am a woman, I bit from the apple first, this war in my mind and emotional turmoil is also my power. I dont want to find inner peace if it means losing what makes me me, and by accepting myself in all my tumultuousness I then do find my inner peace. Biting from the apple is knowledge of oneself and accepting herself as crazy and beautiful as she is.

The more I listen to this song it feels like a Gospel about her redemption from Divorce. She is a free woman and wants to have fun before entering another relationship that may or may not lead to familiar heartache, it is all risks, even, having fun especially with her celebrity status. This is prevalent as she sings, "Don't let me let myself down, Oh My God!" then takes a bite of the apple beyond society's judgment, even yours. Teetering on the edge of heaven and hell is a battle she cannot fight either way with the little time she has to spare.

Compared to her other albums;which are no doubt fabulous, her vocals are so refined in this album that it makes think she’s some star above the clouds. It’s amazing how she turned a tragedy from her personal life into a creative wonderful music masterpiece of the things going through her mind.

For those confused by the music video in the comments here is the interpretation no one asked for.
TLTR (Basically a snake a man or temptation got into her life and she had an affair and it ruined her life and or marriage and destroyed her paradise which is her family. She feels guilt but also Accepts who she is, a sinful person.)
Some religious history needed before we jump into it. The devil disguised as a snake one day convinced Eve the first women into eating the forbidden fruit which is often depicted as an apple. (The fruit represents temptation and sin.)
By breaking Gods rule by eating the fruit, God cast Eve and Adam the first man out of the garden of paradise and into the world of sin. In the video we see a snake on a chair and in Adelle's lyrics say she wants to have fun and intentionally eats the apple at the end of the video. The Music video pans through allot of sexual and provocative themes such as half undressed men and women sometimes dancing and touching each other in shadows then slowly coming out into light where everyone can see them.
I think the director or Adele's is trying to say that she doesnt want to hide who she is anymore (come out from the shadows) and wants to indulge in the pleasure that are deemed as sinful.
The chair represents her leaving a conservative or restrictive life she once had. The chair is also seen to have plants growing from it at times representing the garden of paradise (Her paradise could be her family) and in one scene a man pours gas on it, In another scene a man breaks the chair, breaking her paradise. (Possibly a man could have something to do with her past life being broken or left behind?).
The ringed lights represent angles halos which represent her faith in god, in one scene a man crouches away from the halo possibly meaning she feels regret or so much shame represented by the man he covers his face with clothes unable to look at or unable to show his face to God due to the strong feelings of this guilt & shame, so much he hides from it's glow and crouches back in that shadows to hide. (Possibly the guilt & shame is from an affair.) This could also possibly mean she's struggling in her beliefs and faith in God. Notice when she is near the halo her clothes are identical to that of a nuns cloth and as we pan to the next moments her clothes become darker and revealing then we see the chair burning representing her deciding to destroy or forget her old life or possibly her marriage burning and her paradise lost in ashes. Then at the end of the video she intentionally bites the apple (The forbidden fruit)... Accepting that she is a sinful woman.. That's just my interpretation anyway.
