A watched this video a thousand times before purchasing a radio for my car. I know Boss isn't the best. However in my opinion I think this is the cleanest, most factory looking aftermarket head unit that I have ever seen. This head unit paired with the Jdm trim looks oem. I ended up installing some walmart trash Android radio. However I purchased it not because of a budget. I purchased it because other than the Boss radio it wasn't nothing out that had a clean look. Good choice and it looks amazing.
The x model is the frigging beast! If you have good tires and decent suspension then you will be able to drive through damn near any snow! It also has a snow mode switch. I have an 04 model with slight functional mods. I live in the north and it does very well in snow and ice! Good luck to you bro!

The harness that you bought, did you need to move the cables around? I bought an adapter for the car that technically is a plug and play but I noticed that the 12v yellow cable does not plug into the slot from the car, as well as the ground cable. Did you have the same problem?
I bought the the double don’t used from eBay. And I bought the alpine ilx-w650 to go with it. I need a double don’t trim to fit it in properly. You think you could help? Thanks.
Ali Khan if your G35 has dual zone it will have a specific button on your dash and it will say dual and of your don’t have it then the button is blank and their will not be any letters on it
Im in the process of installing a radio the only problem I have is that there’s no ground cable... we managed to turn it on by connecting it directly to the battery which keeps the screen on even after the car is shut off.. so im planning on using a switch?
Don’t use a switch, wire the red wire to a accessories fuse that turn off when the key is removed and the yellow wire to a constant power also for the ground just screw it down to the side of the radio
You should remove the positive terminal…… the whole car is a ground, so you could pick up a ground for that positive anywhere…… while you won’t find a positive anywhere if it’s disconnected. Except the battery terminal it’s self. The rare exception being British positive grounded vehicles. You could still short something out the way you did it.
I own a 07 g35 sedan and I want a new media display would I have to buy a whole head unit or maybe use an older year not too much info on these cars sadly

The best kit is the jdm kit that you can find on ebay and amazon. It can also be found at Nissanraceshop.com . Which is where I purchased mine. Also for anyone who wants to keep the dual climate control, that unit can be purchased at enjuku.com for about $200.

after the install, does the steering wheel music module still connect to turn on the stereo, control volume and change tracks, etc.?

You need another type of wiring clip for the steering wheel to work with the radio
The wire harness does not come with steering wheel control you need to install a universal from maestro rr

My car doesn’t have the Bose system. The sound is the same as the stock radio which is fine for me I’m not much of a loud music listener!

Just make sure it's not too much of a parasitic drain on your battery otherwise it'll leave you stranded haha
