A watched this video a thousand times before purchasing a radio for my car. I know Boss isn't the best. However in my opinion I think this is the cleanest, most factory looking aftermarket head unit that I have ever seen. This head unit paired with the Jdm trim looks oem. I ended up installing some walmart trash Android radio. However I purchased it not because of a budget. I purchased it because other than the Boss radio it wasn't nothing out that had a clean look. Good choice and it looks amazing.

after the install, does the steering wheel music module still connect to turn on the stereo, control volume and change tracks, etc.?
Mils Garage doesn’t seem like he has the stock steering wheel but I’m with you on that question
@@pankakemix41 I think there is a wiring kit to keep the steering wheel controls
You need another type of wiring clip for the steering wheel to work with the radio
The wire harness does not come with steering wheel control you need to install a universal from maestro rr

The x model is the frigging beast!
If you have good tires and decent suspension then you will be able to drive through damn near any snow! It also has a snow mode switch. I have an 04 model with slight functional mods. I live in the north and it does very well in snow and ice! Good luck to you bro!

The other one's are for the steering wheel control but infinity does not have one so you need to have universal swc called rr maestro

I said fuck it and got the plastic metra kit now I’m just trying to find a good double din, I’m stacking up parts until I get my G back the wait is frustrating

man i ordered jdm oem surround with a double din n realized i need jdm oem climate controls becuz the factory climate controls dont work great lil tip for anyone wanting a double din for 2007 infiniti very pricey..

I have powered seats. Mine has a sun roof but doesn’t have keyless start sadly

The harness that you bought, did you need to move the cables around? I bought an adapter for the car that technically is a plug and play but I noticed that the 12v yellow cable does not plug into the slot from the car, as well as the ground cable. Did you have the same problem?
Daniel Araujo Nissan do not a have a ground, you have to make a ground if you are installing a aftermarket stereo
You should remove the positive terminal…… the whole car is a ground, so you could pick up a ground for that positive anywhere…… while you won’t find a positive anywhere if it’s disconnected. Except the battery terminal it’s self. The rare exception being British positive grounded vehicles. You could still short something out the way you did it.
Do you know if this would work in the 04 manual coupe, or does it have to be the 05-07 generation
What year was your Infiniti g35 install this too ?? Is it compatible with a 04 g35x ?

I’ve probably watched this video 5 times now. Installing my double din in my g35 coupe this week. But I can’t figure out how to fill the gap with the unit and the double din itself. Was there a specific trim that you bought? How much did you modify it? Thanks in advance.

In that little compartment above the ac controls I have a switch that I have no clue what it's for. Do you have one in that compartment also?

My car doesn’t have the Bose system. The sound is the same as the stock radio which is fine for me I’m not much of a loud music listener!

As of 1/22/2021 the OEM double din kit for 05-07 is $390... Screw that man.
I own a 07 g35 sedan and I want a new media display would I have to buy a whole head unit or maybe use an older year not too much info on these cars sadly

Im in the process of installing a radio the only problem I have is that there’s no ground cable... we managed to turn it on by connecting it directly to the battery which keeps the screen on even after the car is shut off.. so im planning on using a switch?
Just make sure it's not too much of a parasitic drain on your battery otherwise it'll leave you stranded haha
Don’t use a switch, wire the red wire to a accessories fuse that turn off when the key is removed and the yellow wire to a constant power also for the ground just screw it down to the side of the radio

Erick Morfin yes, the metra kit is the most commonly found kit that you can get from crutchfeild, ebay, amazon, and other auto electronics dealers. The best kit is the jdm kit that you can find on ebay and amazon. It can also be found at Nissanraceshop.com . Which is where I purchased mine. Also for anyone who wants to keep the dual climate control, that unit can be purchased at enjuku.com for about $200.

I've looked at almost every double din on the market and I can't find anything that looks as clean as this Boss double din. I'm not a big fan of the brand. However anyone who can find something that looks as clean as this please post model #
Yes, yes, fucking yes I agree. I've been arguing with all my car audio friends about this comment you just made. I told them I wanted to order this same radio because of how clean and factory looking it is. They think it's about me trying to save money. The closest radio I found that looks this good is the Pioneer MVH-1400NEX and that's only a 6.2 screen.

Fah-Breezy the ac controls and radio are 1 piece I think I read you’d have to buy jdm ac controls if you want to just cut out a space in the original bezel
