I remember knowing nothing about infinite world but picking it up at a gamestop when I was 6 or so. I had already played budokai games but never the tenkaichi ones I was blown away when playing it, I thought it was amazing with all the new features they added! Just finished a playthrough of Budokai 3 and might play Infinite World again soon too :)
im surprised they didnt give Trunks the burning attack ultimate in either game , like they did in Budokai1&2. Couldve been a dragon rush finisher in B3, and a mini ultimate in IW.
THIS is why I always liked Budokai 3 as my favorite Dragon Ball game. I don't care what ANY of you kids or Narutard generation think. FighterZ LOOKS good because of the anime style, but Budokai 3/Infinite World are still the best. FighterZ is nothing more than a copy of street fighter and marvel vs capcom. BUdokai 3 had its own unique combat system. I am thinking about picking this game back up again and recording videos. So what happened? I remember when Budokai 3 released. I was in high school. There was not tutorial, so most people did not know how to play the game or do combos. Then boring Tenkaichi released not too long after, and everyone ran to that game because it was easy and cheap to play. This guy, Eric, challenged me in high school to Budokai 3. They brought a PS2 to the school. I destroyed them. They said, "How is he doing combos? I can't get out." They had NO clue how to play. The next thing Eric said was, "I can beat you in tenkaichi!" I said, "I don't care about tenkaichi. It's boring and easy." It's not even a fighting game. Budokai will always be on my top five game list of all time, and I have been playing games since the original Mario on Nintendo and Sonic on Sega Genesis. I have played a very wide range of games. I can't believe how much Budokai 3 was overlooked and pass by during that time. But ooohhhhh, "anime games are not worthy of fighting tournaments." That is the other problem.
Tenkaichi is a cool fighting game! I gotta agree that the first three Budokai games are top tier! All three Budokai games are dope and each has their own special thing! The thing that got me with B3? Was that there was no much of an incredible story mode like the first one which killed me. That was the biggest flaw of that game. But I used to whoop ass in that game as well. When Budokai 3 was out everybody and they mother that was a DBZ fan was over someone’s house whooping ass in that game 💯
I love the story in B3 and its a rly fun game, but i prefer IW for multiplayer. The combo system is better but no dragon rushes. I did like breakthrough, but customizing your character spells to make him unique to your playstyle is pretty cool. Also i think fatigue sucks

Found Infinite World in a goodwill a few months ago for $3. Now, I prefer Budokai 3 for the story, but I can still respect the gameplay of Infinite, and I think they’re both only a minor change or two away from being overlooked tournament games.
the fact that the world has more character and better to play in multiplayer, now the 3 is much better the gameplay in the story and leveling of the character making the game more fun
I like how, in the Japanese version, Trunks sounds older during the intro and win cutscenes, but during the fight he sounds much younger. Same goes for Vegeta.
The story missions in IW were very fun and entertaining. Goku running on snake way Training to get spirit bomb by blasting stones king kai throws at you. And more and after finishing the story mode it opens up again from the start with more missions for the campaign

I'm curious how did you manage to select the battle-damaged West City in Infinite World? When I play Infinite World my Dueling Mode won't allow me to do that like Budokai 3 will.
Indeed. In IW, the only way you can start right off the bat in destructed version of some stages is to press X on the random select at the right frame.

How did you choose the destructed version of the city stage in Infinite World like how you could in Budokai 3 by pressing circle? I tried but it didn’t work.
@@Dr._Doppietta I love hyper mode/dragon rush also the Dragon Universe. Hyper mode existed so players wouldn't spam ultimate attacks which IW took away. It's less competitive.
It's FAR more competitive and viable in IW, now that Ultimates can be launched freely mid-combo. Only a noob kid would "spam" Ultimates, which is still only once every now and then, since they cost 4-5 Ki gauges.

People constantly spammed Dragon Rush which is so unbelivably boring because there are only 4 different animations for all characters. Also Pikkon and Janemba aren't GT characters lol Oh and Dragon Universe was boring af. Flying around the same two maps over and over again was only fun once.

Infinite World is harder because it have combos that hare really hardcore,the Dragon Rush and Busters Rush get really annoying after some time,the Story Mode is 100% better than the bullshit of the images of the Budokai 3,a roster more extense and even a soundtrack more epic
Only thing Infinite World has over Budokai 3 is characters. Key differences 1. IW took out Beam Clashes 2. IW took out World Tournament 3. IW gameplay is broken and it gets very boring 4. IW story mode sucks or rather the mini games sucks 5. IW has more characters so ofc the capsule system would be better otherwise Capsule system for both is equal 6. Got rid of Dragon Rush but I personally enjoyed it 7. IW's difficulty is so unbalanced in that no matter what difficulty you put in, the opponent is always gonna be hard. 8. Budokai 3's damage is balanced for each and every character. Those are the key differences
@Manuerus C, nice question... Truth is: yes and no. You see, in B3, Very Hard is still a capable CPU, it can give you some trouble even if you are expert, expecially if you get caught in a Dragonrush-spam loop. Still, CPU is very prone to be tricked and exploited, mostly 'cause of its abuse of Hyper Mode and ki blasts. This has been corrected in IW, where Hyper Mode has been removed and CPU can now cancel moves, chaining several hits and transformations. In fact, IW CPU is far better and harder than B3's one. Then again, IW CPU is still weak to some strategies, expecially fatigue abusing. Lastly, let me say that's kinda hard judging CPUs skills in my videos, for the very simple reason that I don't let 'em do anything, trapping then into long combos without chance to teleport (mostly using "Turtle Shell" in B3 and fatigue stun in IW, not to mention the taunts). A more fair comparison would be possible if I were totally passive, limiting myself to avoid as many hits as possible and letting them attack as often as they can. I hope my comment answers enogh to your question. :) Dw, no disrespect.

They deleted it from its movepool in the transition from B2 to B3 and, being IW based on B3 assets, he miss it there as well.

He didn't in the anime, they put it in by mistake. In the original Budokai he has the ascended and ultra super Saiyan forms

His aura doesn't change like Gohan's. I think it's just his Ultra Super Saiyan form (although he looks normal).

Still, CPU is very prone to be tricked and exploited, mostly 'cause of its abuse of Hyper Mode and ki blasts.
This has been corrected in IW, where Hyper Mode has been removed and CPU can now cancel moves, chaining several hits and transformations.
In fact, IW CPU is far better and harder than B3's one. Then again, IW CPU is still weak to some strategies, expecially fatigue abusing.
Lastly, let me say that's kinda hard judging CPUs skills in my videos, for the very simple reason that I don't let 'em do anything, trapping then into long combos without chance to teleport (mostly using "Turtle Shell" in B3 and fatigue stun in IW, not to mention the taunts).
A more fair comparison would be possible if I were totally passive, limiting myself to avoid as many hits as possible and letting them attack as often as they can.

Does anyone know how fatigue works in IW is it based on your combos or the amount that of damage your attacks do?
Fatigue alone.
It builds up by taking damage (even blocking), dodging and teleporting.
