Thanks for video uploading..! Now we got an idea how coal is unloaded from trains..! Please also keep posting on power generation, boilers & its maintenance works .Thank you
I always find it interesting watching videos in India with all the people standing around, the non-existent safety gear and incredibly manual processes
Manual process is used here because to provide employment to such a huge population , and these people themselves dont wear saftey gears even if they are given
,@ Don And I found it interesting how the WTC twin towers went down with all the modern security apparatus and how despite the impregnable security at your airports, Laden's men took, how many, five of your aircrafts for a ride. My father was a Chief Engineer and Project Head in this company, Damodar Valley Corporation (built on the lines of your Tennessee Valley Authority), of a different power plant, 780 MW, this is Mejia (about 2500 MW), the biggest plant of the company. We are 1.4 billion people here and they need to be employed, of course, safety and other precautions have to be taken into consideration but you can't always afford it. Despite this, accidents are few and far between. In any case, no new coal fired thermal power plants are going to come up in India anymore, we are moving in a big way towards solar. India's and Asia's richest man, Ambani just bought a few Norwegian solar comps.
@@smipy Because I felt like he is insulting, there is no answer to the why. We have seen the great American military technology in Afghanistan too, he should set his house in order first.
I used to work for an Earth moving equipment company supplying coal mining equipment to. Coal India and other Govt. institutions. They do definitely provide safety equipment and most certainly insurance and welfare more than Nationalised Banks. These look like casuals on weekends possibly in intermediate store houses / dry docks run by private institutions that has poor security and allow people to take videos!!. (which of course doesn't justify the poor safety and utter indifference of the authorities that we see).
You guys really need to invest in a bell crusher to classify the material to the proper size before loading. Those large chunks hinder your unloading times and you have to employ extra people remove the larger chunks which further cuts into profits.
Good video but there has to be a better, faster way to unload coal than this. Perhaps crushers to eliminate the small boulders before loading onto trains?
Thats DVC... my father was a proud employee in CTPS and then DTPS, I myself worked for JSW in Raw material handling... Good its not tipplers ... these wagons are way more better ..

That looks like a super efficient way to unload the car, maybe the US and Canada are doing it wrong when we do it under 30 seconds, and no men on the tracks or nearby.
There are many many places in the USA and Canada that unload coal trains exactly the same way. Not every power plant or steel mill in the USA is equipped with rotary or trestle dump facilities.
Earlier some men used to offload on the side of the track. But now at least we have improvised. Hopefully in next 7 to 8 decades we will implement the method followed by developed nations😋

Asim Muhammad Don't say something which you don't know. Every worker is provided best in class medical care in coal mines owned by govt free of cost. There can't be a mine without a hospital. I know this bcoz I've been part of coal india ltd since my childhood.

It doesn't require an expertise for that, is just common sense and standard health and safety practices.
That definitely explains why the coal is processed the way it is here in the US. It's almost a powder and it makes the loading/unloading process very easy and efficient.
