I bought my first brand new Mustang in 1973 . I’ve had 10 more brand new ones since that car . 50 years driving a Ford Mustang ! Thankyou Thankyou Ford !
I bought my first ('85 GT with t tops) in 1990. I'm on my 9th one now ('23 HPP/HP), 3 of which were bought brand new, and my '23 will be my last unless Ford makes some serious changes in the coming years. No more tradition at Ford, quality is down, and prices are up, and don't get me started on how locked down the ECU is or how much the car will snitch on you and your driving habits.

Thank you for another informative review. The first time I saw the Mustang at the 1964 NY World's Fair I knew it was going to be a very popular car. Well, 60 years later it's still going strong. Thank you Ford for not messing with a winning formula and keeping the spirit of the good ole American V8 alive.

My daily driver is a 2019 GT Mustang auto and it is an absolute joy to drive. I love the active exhaust, the Coyote sounds fantastic, and few people talk about it but the reality is that Mustangs make great comfortable daily driver cars that are also very powerful and fun to drive. I expect to trade it at some point for a S650, but as most people I am not a fan of the video game gauge cluster, I wish Ford would have a version with analog gauges...

Sadly I don't think Ford cares or listens to us fans who hate the ipod dash look on the Mustang. I'll be keeping my '23 HPP/HP, too much about the S650 for me that I just don't like (Camaro rear quarters, lack of ECU tuning, squinty headlights, deleted double hump dash, ipods for clusters, the higher price).

Mustang all the way for me. I love the history, looks and performance of the Mustang. It was my first new car bought in 1974. Then years of family cars and finally enjoying the Mustang again.
Im usually not a fan of stripes but this one was very tastefully done

I do believe Mr. Joe Raiti has a soft spot for the original and only continuously-running pony car for 60 years! The Mustang! Lee Iacocca and Carroll Shelby must be high-fiving each other up above! Very nice color and wheels. And that exotic sounding engine! Who needs that extravagant stereo with that Coyote under the hood? Only thing I'd change is the number pedals underneath. Great camera work, Lori!
I would rather have a Mustang GT over a BMW. Better looking and costs less.
Easier to fix too. Well if you're a do it yourself kind of guy. Mechanics take advantage too much.

Without a doubt, I'd take this Mustang GT over the BMW 440i any day of the week. My first car ever was a 72 Mach 1, so I have a legacy of love for the stang going back 52 years. I love this new updated look to the GT. Thanks, Joe.

I think you should change the title to M440i instead of M4. There's a big difference lol. But the answer is always which one offers a manual? Mustang GT. The real M4 I guess would be competing with a Dark Horse. That would be interesting.
Well, M4 is more like a big powerful go-cart - prepared for a nice laps on a track (even in "regular" version), premium interior etc. Mustang is V8 powered fun car which drives decent but nobody asks for a record on a "green hell", ultimate performance etc.

Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR also beats M4 but I thought we're talking about gt car for 4-5 ppl with a regular trunk. 3rd if it's about camaro you propably think about Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE with 7:16,04 lap time, right? "Regular" ZL1 did 7:29,60 lap time and you can find "regular" BMW M4 comp. xdrive with 7.28.57 lap time on yt so IMO it's pretty decent because it's 650 HP (camaro zl1) vs 503 HP (m4 comp.).
BTW Yup 1LE did a crazy time, even better than BMW M4 CSL (7.17,08) but it's ultimate versions and good for chevy for building that track ready beast.
No contest. More muscle, more practicality, better looking and a bit cheaper than a fully loaded BMW. And definitely more fun!
A bit cheaper than an M4? Seriously!? About $20k cheaper so yes it’s a bargain but definitely not “better”, unless you love loud sounding engine! The GT Mustang is about the SOUND. The looks are all subjective. Actually it’s all subjective!

I think those rims look great with the grey colour.
I'm torn between the gt and the ecoboost. The ecoboost makes more sense for me since it would be a daily driver getting almost 30mpgs and its more affordable while only being slightly slower. But man the sound of that 5.0 is intoxicating.
I agree with u 💯.. do what's best for forget what anyone says or feels if they want u to have a gt performance package or dark horse or anything.. tell them to buy for u.. good luck .. stay blessed

But, for me its not even the exhaust the turbo lag is the real clincher. If you can live with that instead of the linear acceleration of a v8 at any rev range then that makes it easier.
It's more than slightly slower. You really need to drive a GT.

Hooray! Another video with a Mustang thanks to Walker Ford. I love seeing all of the Mustangs in the background. I think that you might feature the Mustang in comparison to another vehicle more than any other channel. Imo that's one secret to your success along with your knowledge and knack for entertainment. As a former teacher you know how to keep your audience's attention. As a former race car driver you know how to go On Throttle!
From someone who's had two 5.0s, No Joe...Maybe when they were almost half the price. Now the value prop is on the side of the M4.
Give me analog gauges and ac buttons and mechanical hand brake and I'd trade in my old mustang ASAP. Until then I'm fine. I love the exterior styling for sure.

Give me the Mustang over the BMW any day of the week! Cost of ownership is lower, looks better (in my opinion), and is a 60 year-strong American icon. Everyone's opinion might be different, but I prefer the Mustang.
Great review Joe! I like the black stripes on the gray color, The first thing I would do if I got that car will be swapping the brembo brake semi- metallic pads for some ceramics because otherwise you'll be cleaning brake dust every two days off of those silver wheels. That's one of the first things I did with my Mach 1.
Car looks and sounds great but somehow the performance doesn't seem to translate to the video considering the 486 hp. Maybe its just me? I'm not a fan of the cinema size screens in the newer cars either. Definitely a nice looking car and another great video!
Have to trust on Joe on how fast the car is.
And, for sure, Ford must "fix" this stupid and generic "cinema dashboard" on the next generation.

I bought a new mustang Gt convertible premium active exhaust inJanuary and then I saw everyone making fun of it on social media. I was starting to get fed up with my car. This video was a bit of a relief.
I like this car except for 1 thing. I really hate having any white on the interior. It shows everything. Just a preference.
Great review! I just picked up my 2024 Base GT 2 months ago and it’s great! I know there is some controversy with this refresh but I think it’s still good fun. I previously had a 2017 and this is a solid improvement in quality. Yes, it’s expensive… but those are just the times we’re in.
ALSO - behind you I see a red Ecoboost Performance Pack. Could you do a video on that? I read an article on Car and Driver I believe where the performance pack Ecoboost was only like 0.3 seconds slower than the GT on the 0-60 test. I wanna see what it’s about!

I really like how the carbonized gray exterior pops with the stripes and wheels! But, for $54k?? New S650 prices are nuts! I bought my 2016 GT CS premium for just over $32k used with only 26,000 miles on it!
It’s just the materials and interior I can never get over. It certainly improved over the years but once you get used to high-quality materials, leather and fabrics, it’s hard to go back to anything else. I think this is a great sports car for the average person. It’s not nice enough for me but options are what makes the world a happy place. Cheers!

The M4 was originally RWD-only but AWD was added as an option for the second generation. The Mustang, on the other hand, has always been RWD-only and is still like that today. However, I actually love how it’s like that because I feel like American cars have to be RWD as they’re historically so. As a result, I think the Mustang still being RWD-only is icing on the cake for its American status.

The Butt ugly MW is resting on its name. Kudos to Ford for upgrading the Mustang. Price per performance quotient pretty favorable for Mustang. I don't think the gray with the stripes really does the Mustang any favors. Change color and wheels and would be much more attractive.
I have a 2024 gt premium convertible with the active valve exhaust. I also have a 2023 M3. Both are MT. Hands down the M3 is more fun to drive. The mustang is much, much louder, but the turbo boost in the M is what wins me over every time.
Don't like the digital gages.

Great review! As someone who loves BMW M and owns a '24 Mustang GT manual, get the Mustang GT if you're thinking of the M4/M440i. If it was an M3, then I'd say get the M3 cause it looks better 😂 And I would have also gotten an M3 if I had just a little more cash
If I was buying today it would be the Mustang GT or even a Darkhorse. I used to like BMW's but in the last few years they seem like they aren't what they used to be, BMW has wandered off course and even that 440i review you did a while back was $71k and to me it was way over priced and the interior had some gimicks I didn't care for like a lid over the cup holders, etc.
My 2016 M4 convertible is on steroids yet good on fuel and nice ride in comfort mode. if you want an all out performance car the M4 takes some beating, but don't expect the smoothness of the V8 Mustang. The M4 DCT gearbox although fast can be harsh. I do like my V8'S TVR, AMG Merc's but the new Mustang will certainly be on my list when replacing my M4.
The new 5.0 motor would look great in my towncar!!

By comparing it to bmw 440, you are only putting down Mustang.
I remember my first car Junior in high school was a 1991 Mustang Gt 5.0 convertible and i bought it with my own credit with money saved from working my valet and Car wash jobs for down payment. I was driven with motivation to buy a Mustang and when i did it was an achievement and a Pure satisfaction of The car, The drive and The Emotion.
Then after 2 years i traded it to more powerful 1995 Chevy Z28 Camero convertible, 5.7 Lt1 engine.
And in 1997 i got matured and moved on to my first BMW 740il, ever since i have owned 18 Bmw, 2 Porsche and 3 Audi's including 2007 Audi s8 with Lamborghini engine.
Now Bmw M550i and am getting a BMW M850i convertible. But i remember The good old days of Pure Muscle car sound and racing....😊 for Pinks😜
I adore the mustang. It is my favorite car of all time. I am 33 years old now and already owned 3 mustangs from different generations … but when it comes to comparing a mustang to BMW m4. They actually don’t compare at all not in terms of built quality not the price and mostly the performance. Im sorry but BMW make insane cars and they’re on a complete different level.
Great review and awesome car a massive overall improvement over GT 5.0 FN . Just sold my Kona Blue 2019 Fast Back Magna ride FN 10 Spd 5.0 GT after 4 years of ownership , I was excited about this new S650 but the game style dash is a massive Zonk for me , it doesn't speak Mustang experiences to me. I'm going to pass on this. Does any one know why they did this ? I will wait for the refresh V2 in the hope Ford listed to the feedback . I hope when they do a refresh with the S650 a revised dash, buttons and toggle switches return . The FN digital dash set with classic chrome plated 1960's dials buttons, toggle switches was spectacular and was perfect.The FN dash designer needs to return to do the S650 version 2 refresh for 2025. This is what a Mustang experience is about like along with the naturally aspirate 5.0 sound, like reminiscing the classic Bullit car Steve drove in the best car chase ever .

Drove Beemers when i lived in Germany for four years(many,many moons ago)and loved driving my BMW while i was there but couldn't wait to get back to the good old US of A and back into a Mustang. I love the two i have now Joe and enjoy them very much!🤟👍

I advise everyone to buy a Mustang
With alot of vehicles now offering adaptive suspensions, I find it discouraging that Ford makes you spend $6k before adding on the additional cost for the magneride option. I don't need or want the performance package but I do want the option of an upgraded handling suspension.
