actually its worse than that, if you look through the blackbox data for the aurora you'll see that 25 lifepods successfully launched so there's 16 lifepods unaccounted for, most likely they all ended up in the dead zone, Given how close the aurora is to the dead zone, any life pod that landed on the forbidden side of the crash probably would've been attacked by reapers until all that was left was scrap metal or sank into the dead zone.
What's worse is that this could've actually happened to some of the people who ended having there lifepod launch but ended up sinking into the void where they either got eaten by the ghost leviathans or were crushed by the water pressure.

Copied directly from the wiki: Lifepod 5 spawns in a random location in the Safe Shallows biome less than a kilometer from the center of the map (coordinates 0,0,0). The lifepod can spawn quite close to the radiation zone, and in some rare cases, a large creature can nudge it into the radiation area.
@@RMStallmenFOSS ay I’m not a weird smart person, I’m just copying what google told me
guys, this spawn is modded, just look at the items' subtitles in PDA called "Subnautica", indicating, that it is default item (not from any mod), in normal game there is no such thing
@@mattexx02 ohhhh I see, got it
Why would they do it?
For the challenge. And the lulz.

Bro wtf why this coment has so many likes 💀💀💀💀
Who wouldn't?! Shit spawned in eating him, I'd have flicked my mouse into the wall lmao
i dont blame him, he saw the ghost leviathan appear and almost fell off in the same amount of time
I'm so blind, I didn't even see the Leviathan till I saw this comment
Bitch literally SPAWNED WITH MALICE

Since the only "land" on 4546B is Gun Island and Sector Zero, this would actually be what 98% of those that crash land (crash splash?) would experience. Totally and completely screwed.
Floating island: 👁️👄👁️
There are other land masses, given what we can see from space when we take off in the Neptune, but yeah most of the planet is just water.
How Subnautica would’ve played out if there wasn’t any plot armor
Warning entering ecolocial dead zone adding report to data bank ☠️
You could hear the panic and button spamming when the ghost levi popped up.
Reminds me of the early days when the lifepod would drift from its starting location.
I remember those days, the game's physics really didn't like when I tried to prevent it by building pipes around the lifepod.

Ghost leviathan probably confused aswell
Casually turns on subnautica, realizes I spawned in the dead zone, causally deleting subnautica.
Played and beat this game before but when that Ghost Leviathan slammed into the pod that gave me so much anxiety just thinking about watching the camera being plunged into the darkness with that banshee screech.
Subnautica is a perfectly balanced game XD
Plot twist: you’re actually one of the 1-19 lifepods and not the main character.
Bro accidentally got the fastest dead zone data bank speed run
That panic jump 😂

he spawned on the dunes dead zone too💀

I always thought there was some kind of limitation against spawning in the Dead Zone, I guess not
There is.
There is, you can only spawn in the safe shallows, this was a glitch
@@errandboytv5733 What’s the glitch to even do that??
@@NyanTheFurry subnautica physics system
@@errandboytv5733 Oh he just pushed the lifepod to the deadzone
This reminds me of the time when I spawned behind the aurora.. On my first time playing Subnautica.
That's quite the glitch you got to spawn outside the map
All spawns are set points around the safe shallows so he probably coded this in or got a mod
🤓
Bugs man, they exist
@@TheRipVanWinkle1899 Maybe, but I've never heard of or seen a bug that spawns you in the dead zone

YO, I THOUGHT THAT A GHOST WOULD ATTACK YOUR LIFE POD DOING IT FLY
Once I saw the ship far away, my heart sank.
I'll be honest, my reaction would have been very simple:
"Nope, not doing this"
Призрачный Левиафан напугал меня☠️
Explanation: Once you get to the void, if you keep going it will cycle through different biomes(Including the safe shallows). So I'm assuming that's what Happened😐
First time I played I was almost right next to the aurora
Back when I was terrified of the game, I used to get nightmares of just waking up in my lifepod right beside it and then I'd wake up in a cold sweat and almost cry- it was literally hell on earth for me back then
@@DiamondSparklz61 I never had nightmares of it but I was afraid of that reaper just chilling right underneath me

Just pull a strong female character move, fight a leviathan, kill it, and use it as a raft until you reach shallows.

Well to be fair, on a planet that 99% supposed to be cannibalized by Leviathans... this would be a more statistical occurrence compared to striking gold and landing in 'the one crater that supports life'.
I had a nightmare like this once
"im just him bro"
bro's spawn point:
the character really said: 💀
Imagine if this was your first ever playthrough of subnautica and you just think it's endless ocean and monsters
HOW IN THE WORLD! looks like a new youtube challenge
Seeing nothing but the open water fills me with dread. Normally you can at least see the Aurora, but here there is nothing but mist.
I mean, it's realistic. What do you think happened to the other lifepods?
I remember during the first playthrough I didn’t know anything about the game and spawned near the Aurora engine, provide me with my face after meeting the leviathan and dying from radiation
Consider that pod your new permanent home
Now you are part of the life pods that the player must search to scan some technology and unlock your pda last words
i mean, that is the most likely scenario in a situation like that
no matter how hard nxviss tries to escape the void, it always comes back to him
This is what it felt like to all the other survivors :D
It's a good thing you saw the aurouarouar bc if you throw a flare in the EXACT opposite direction you can book it in the general direction of the arouaroaruaoruaor
when I get into a dead zone I'm more scared for if my my items disappear if I die and not of the creatures
to think that even on earth, if we were thrown in the middle of the ocean, that would probably be more realistic lol. That's how scary the sea can be
1:12 how did those fish survive?
I think they are automatically spawned when opening the hatch for the first time
Wow, this is-
this is so much more existentially terrifying than anything else normally.
Hey you got that lost life pod in dead zone experience. Didn't know you can play as the poor side characters.
This is the most realistic result of an emergency landing on a planet, which almost fully covered with Dead Zone
I may not have been able to hear or see you, but I can feel the genuine fear you had from that Ghost showing up out of nowhere
The ghost leviathan really said hi and jump scared him😂
I think I would actually straight up cry
You can see the sheer panic when the Ghost shows up. I'd imagine he dang-near broke the jump button trying to get back on the lifepod
