Thanks for showing our city in a positive ilght and positive food and positive people. Instead of all the people who just try and show the homelessness, crime, trash, etc. There's a reason people love to come here and it's positivity. Sometimes it seems like all you hear on the media is that people are leaving California, the crime is bad, housing is expensive, etc, and people just dwell on the negative. But it is very nice here and I'm glad you had a good time.

I was in Venice Beach and went to the world cup final in 1994* at the Rose Bowl. It is a very interesting city. You both had fun and it's nice to see you both happy.
That was a fun journey thanks for sharing…it’s been a while since I’ve been to Venice beach🏖️. Honestly I experienced more with the both our you than when I was there before😆.

Have fun in SoCal!!! I highly recommend visiting San Diego if you get a chance. Mission Beach and Pacific Beach are my favorite hangout places. You won't be disappointed.
My buddy Brian Turner (sitting right beside me now) is from there and he said the same thing. He's from there and really likes it. Brian said those are great but Ocean Beach is where it's at!
Nanaimo has an amazing thai place with excellent vegan pad thai and massaman curry- Sukkho Thai. You just need to ask for vegan version. So good!
We will have to check it out when we are back home!

The Ezekiel bread, the grandson of the guy Max who started it, is a friend of mine and his wife. The grandson is the marketing guy for the company. I live in Cali near Riverside. I like the Ezekiel english muffins.

I love the Hamilton on Beach blenders! They’re cheap and do blend frozen fruit well. Mine have lasted for years and I use it every day. I’ll throw in hemp seeds, frozen blueberries/raspberries or banana, soy milk and protein powder and it’s about 40grams of protein.
Perfect! I will try having berries next time!

If you had gone just slightly north of the rings and slacklines there's the acro green, a small rectangle of astro turf where acrobats do fun partner things. They would have shown you a few moves to try like handstands on another person. If you're still there go back and look for folks playing there.
We walked by it but are to timid to try anything there haha

I work at the joes, but in NY! You grabbed every good vegan option I would recommend. Mostly all the whole food options with little to no added nonsense in there. Not surprised you sniffed em out lol.

I noticed you do not use honey for a sweetener is there a reason you don't?
Vegans don’t use honey
It’s not generally considered vegan but I also just use other sweeteners like maple syrup and dates. I understand some bee keepers do it in a way that is more sustainable and kind to the bees though.
buying everything bagged in plastic bags creates copious amounts of trash. I always feel reluctant to buy salad in plastic bags, because of the waste. What are your thoughts on it?
We don't really have much of a choice and rely on convince to eat healthy while travelling.
