Man the way Halo is literally going down is honestly enough to make me cry. Ik it’s “just a game” but this franchise changed the gaming scene and to see it go out like this is truly gut-wrenching.
The thing about Halo was that, for a lot of us, it was something that brought people together. The current devs are neglecting the social aspects that made it so popular. Nothing we better than starting off with a couple of friends or by yourself and ending a session with a full party that you built up by lobbying up with other players.
It wasn’t just a game. Halo 1,2,3 are some of the best games ever made hands down and they had to greatest ranking system of all time (imo) after reach came out i hated it and i never touched another halo other than ODST. It’s so sad how 343 did halo. It breaks my heart
@@sieveign the moment they added powers and abilities to the game, that was the start of the end no cap. It didn’t make people better or worse cause if you can get a 50 general then that didn’t matter. I just didn’t like the direction. I do agree forge on reach was amazing
I got chills watching that halo 1-3 recap. You just had to be there. Through everything. Late night LAN parties. Staying up all night during the summer. Big team battle. Forge mode hammers only with low gravity. Race tracks. Downloading the game on your computer lab PC at school on a free day and the whole class playing. BLOOD GULCH. The younger ones will never know
Bro I remember playing Halo CE every time in the computer lab after school and the teacher of the class installed it on all computers and our principal found out and he had to take it off but those games got toxic at times lol
I read allat and not once was enticed to even attempt to maybe perhaps in the near future if theres notthing else to do ... finally give it a try. . Admit it. It was the ONLY sc fi fps too choose from at the time.
@@rsgacolytefrost46 You literally just had to be there. Also Brink, Crysis and other sci-fi titles were out at the time I believe. But Halo truly shined through it all during that time
I was introduced to Halo on 2013 at my high school. Our high school provided free Chromebooks to do our work on Some friends of mine were passing around sd cards with pirated games, and Halo CE was one of them. We would play random BTB LAN parties at school during class sometimes.
Depressing what it became over the years… I would do anything to go back to them prime Halo 3 days, endless memories and people met throughout the community. It will forever hold a place in my heart.
You know he's speaking the truth when he's got the beanie gamerpic. Probably had the "UNDERGROUND" gamerzone too. Man I miss early Xbox 360. There was that weird period of time where the xbox guide was blue. Heavily associate that with Halo 3 personally.
So true, i grew up with halo 1, i played it everyday at my friends house and i mean everyday, me and the homies would go Right to his house when school was over and we'd game until we had to go home for dinner. We did the same for halo 2. Then came halo 3, i bought the 360 so we could play it since homie couldn't afford the new console. And now we played at my place, and it continued. I met people from NA and UK and it's my time gaming on halo 3 that taught me english, all the people i met i no longer know where they are, but damn do i cherish those times looking back at it. Like you said you REALLY had to be there, it was just the best shit ever.
11:06 that the thing about being a fan of something tho. When you grow up on something, when you love something so much, and its gotten your through the cacophony of bs that is life. Those few hours of time you spent with you friends and 12 am Friday night on halo or cod. They mean so much to you. That game means so much to you, so to have some random company take a big shit wrapped in lootboxes and micro transactions. You can reasonably get angry bc its like watching someone you love get torn down.
Thanks for saying that and I totally agree. Felt weird hearing him saying that you have to be doing this type of stuff for 6 or whatever years just to get a pass to rage on something like this.
@mana256k fax. I personally never played halo other the reach gampaign. But one of my favorite games (also made by bungie) is destiny 2. Even thought they do mess up sometimes, there's still no "pay 2 win" mechanic. And the cosmetics for the most part aren't paygated. But I can imagine if a whole other company came in and added lootboxes and shitty pay 2 win exotics id be just as pissed.
I wasn’t able to play halo much when I was younger (let alone online), but as a massive fan of tf2, I felt it the same. Seeing valve just slowly stop giving a fuck and letting so many issues pile up is so saddening, as you said, I got love for the game cause it helped get through bs and let me socialize with people for a little bit.
There is a bell curve in life over passion. When you're young you get super passionate easily, as you get older eventually someone will ridicule you over being passionate about something and you recluse yourself. When you get older you stop giving a fuck and revert back. A lot of these dudes the second they saw a game that carried them through the miserable recession as a kid/teen were so excited to relive those days, and it didn't work at all for a long time. And even now you can't safely play, because there's a massive security breach in the game that lets hackers flag people's accounts to be banned. I've been waiting for what feels like almost half a year for them to fix these security issues just so I can play BTB in Halo 3 with my friend.

Halo was my childhood. I remember being at school a long while ago and playing Halo 2 online. We would be in the computer lab for 2 hours if everyone was at their best. We were always such a good class because we wanted to just play Halo with each other. And when we got home, guess what we would play on X-Box Live. It was such a blast. And I don't care to admit this, but I shedded a tear thinking about it. And seeing this get done to something that made my childhood stay pure creates such a negative feeling inside of me.
the first three halo games will always have a special place in my heart EDIT: bro...10 years. imagine how much a SINGLE person can get done in 10 years. now instead of one person, imagine a large group of people, a company, dedicating every day to slowly working on a game over the course of 10 YEARS. They have been working on this game for a whole DECADE and THIS is this finished product that they decided to launch. Infinite was supposed to be the game that brought Halo back on the map, and would be sort of an apology from 343 to Halo fans. No Halo fan is going to trust this company again lmao best of luck to whatever they do from here. #MakeGamingGreatAgain
Bungie was a company that started because a handful (more than a handful) of people wanted to make an idea a truly genuine experience. Their focus was not on money, it was on story telling. It was on community and they were not afraid to let the last game come out and let that be it. They were not afraid of concluding. They had an idea and they saw it through to the very end. 343 Has said it multiple times, this will be what comes next for the next 10 years. They never plan on ending, there will always be something else. There is no true ending, there is no experience except one they want you to keep following. Halo had the perfect ending and 2 great prequels. It should have been left alone to rest and go down in History.
All of this and tbh it can be said for so many titles. They’ve all for the most part fallen apart the same way and it’s part of why I don’t game as much as I used to or get excited for new games. Everything just feels like a cash cow and when the big money stops coming in they just move on to new things so they can find more ways to charge you. Like needing to pay $7 for the color red when of halo just had it. Like what tf is the logic??
Switching from Halo to CoD is like going back to work after being self employed 😢 BF is always going to be in the rotation but yo…we need you Bungie…the world needs you…
Halo 2 was the game that truly introduced me to gaming 😢 spent so much time playing it and it’s still my favorite game today. Halo is a hollow shell of what it used to be
I was in middle school halo 3 was the prime. LAN Partys, Voice chat, Trash talking in 40-50 MLG Lobbies, Split screen, & all-nighters with the pys and 6 boxes of pizza were pulled, and ate wile playing this game. It still seems like a fever dream. I don't think halo will return to it's prime but yeah this video hit home. I miss LAN Partys and game chat. I miss halo.
I liked the show. I’m familiar with the game. Never personally played. This is the issue with so called tv show adaptations. It sucks as an adaptation but as a general sci fi or fantasy show there’s no problem. I just don’t understand how no one involved is a fan of the Halo games and comics.
The memories tied to Halo 3 made me cry in the last couple minutes of this video. I really couldn't be more appreciative to have experienced such a fun gaming experience.
From my experience from watching my dad play ODST will be his favorite and Halo threw 3. 4 threw the rest he didn’t show reaction, but when I would ask about 3 threw 2 and 1 and ODST he’s face would change happily and tell stories.
Going “Gold” just means they’ve finalized whatever touches and tweaks needed before the official launch of the game. Obviously it wasn’t ready at all and they have ruined a lot of peoples experiences and overall the competitiveness for FPS games in general 🤦🏽♂️ #RIPHALO #MakeGamingGreatAgain
Honest i want to write a long ass message about how frustrating it was to see halo die the way it did but i can’t bring myself to write it. Greatest games ever made halo 1,2,3.
I didnt even play halo like that ive been a ps guy all my life and this vid makes me sad. Just illustrates how gaming has fallen. Not many studios and devlopers have the passion like this.
I deadass grew up with Halo bro. First 2 halos I played were halo 2 and halo 3. Love the MESS outta those games, So i eventually got a lil older and realized I forgot there was a halo 1, so I played that and fw it HEAVY. Made hella memories with my brother and cousins through those 1st 3 halos, shit even reach - 4, but then idek bruh, I started actually growin up fr fr while 343 was taking over halo and stuff kinda went down hill from there. I just really fw halo and 343 highkey messin that up. Im tryna trust in the process with them for halo infinite bro but its startin to get hard im ngl 😭
I remember when I was finally able to (barley) fit in my hands the first game I ever played was halo. And ever since then I’ve been a massive halo fan. It’s truly heartbreaking to see what it’s become.
2:00 OOOH HOL UPPPPP YESSSSIR, clean af to see berlin passion for sumthing bruh. imma back to this vid after i finish halo 1 (and play the others eughhhh, gotta get off my ah no cap)
I really miss halo - but I think what I miss more is the freedom I had when I was playing it. I remember getting out of school and going over to my friends' house on friday night, let my mom know in the morning I was gonna be staying over there, we'd stay up all weekend long with our group of 4, playing halo 3 legendary trying to get all the achievements. then go online in a party and play BTB when we wanted to fuck around. I don't talk to those friends anymore. I don't stay up all weekend enthralled by anything anymore. I have a job and live alone... I would give almost anything to go back to that Friday night and just have one more weekend with them all like this. 343 didn't just kill a videogame franchise. They crippled a community. They tarnished memories people will never get back. They ruined a legacy.
Late to the party, but I played all Halos'. It's what made me become an Xbox fan. Seeing Bungie finish Halo with Reach was honestly a perfect prequel and send-off for Bungie. Also, what I thought to be the Halo franchise at the time. My first online experience with Halo was Halo Reach. Berlin, if you haven't played Reach yet, you have to. Such an emotional story that shows the opposite side of the war. With a squad of Spartans. And don't get me started on the Lone Wolf mission.
Playing some halo back in its peak was some of the best gaming experiences and memories ever for me and as time goes by seeing it reduced to a barely standing series of back to back flops is depressing especially when halo infinite launched, did really good at the start and now we’re already in 2022 and the game is barely hanging on,missing content that was in the franchise from day 1 like wtf
man that cut at 15:46 from 343 devs saying scripted talking points to bungie devs talking passionately about halo really hits the nail on the head. 343 has no soul and no passion.
I was a PS kid I never played XBOX and unfortunately never played the good Halos. I have only experienced the 343 games iteration which sucks cause I even got goosebumps watching the end of this video and I never even played them
When I say Halo 3 is the best halo ever, I mean that with every bone of my body! That was my childhood. Me and my cousins playing forge, creating little games, or playing story mode together, can’t be beat, that was Halo at its PEAK 🙏
Til this day I have yet to see as much hype for a game on launch day than Halo 3. Still my favorite Halo game despite me being hot doodoodogwatergarbage at it
Man...Halo was so epic, companies failed it, the way gaming is now, failed it..only people that kept it alive was the fans and even they're giving up now..sad times.
What’s crazy is that maybe %10 of Berlin’s fan base was actually there for the beginning of multiplayer and especially for halo 2. So many weren’t even born for halo 2 yet lol halo 3 was peak halo and then it slowly died. I was 6 playing halo 2 and 6 owning lobbies which made me a monster in halo 3. Now it’s just a game that calls itself halo and not actually halo. The feeling the OG soundtrack makes evokes a intense feeling that’s only felt if you were really there
I couldn't tell you how many times me and my cousins took turns speed running Halo 3 campaign. Then hopping online with other people just talking and messing around. Nothing but good memories come from this game. I also remember there was a lore about master chief being a woman with a voice changer.
I've always been team Sony growing up, but I remember halo 3 being so good that I would always go over my friend's house to play it with him for hours. I generally hate Xbox and the controller layout but it was worth it for halo 3.
Something about a Blue Master Chief Carrying that flag while his teammates body shield him to get the point at 18:12 , and hearing that epic choir sing makes me so happy.
really doesnt matter, because they can get away with this over & over, oh we still make money even though we just gave them a handful of turd? thats great lets keep doing that
Berlin i understand how you feel bro althought for me it was not halo but cod , I have been playing cod sense the first blackops and the first modern warfare and to see my favorite franchise slowly but surly become a cash cow and not a fun game hurts on a different lvl So Yes #MakeGamingGreatAgain .
I remember Playing halo 3 on the 360 as a kid and playing infinite on my friends Xbox 1 like its not even comp I played like 6 matches and put the controller down like I'm not even a Xbox fan and I can say they really just gave up man
im genuinely so sick of devs just dropping the idea of progression. The only reason I play ANY game for months at a time is to reach Gold Camo, Exclusive Skins, Things you EARN while playing the game... Bruh I remember MW2 days the red tiger camo, blue tiger camo, and autumn camo were like, if you had those you had some respect on your name. Now I just play games like halo and im like wtf am I even playing for? there's ZERO sense of accomplishment LONG TERM.
Lots of games stop listening to fans I’m more of a Mass effect fan but even I knew taking off bro mask literally fucks up the mystery behind his character it draws more people in, also Berlin is right these games are just cash grabs and there are not that many good ones, personally felt inspired to continue with my own video game ideas.
This makes me sad cause what halo was becoming after reach really showcased that our era was over out with the old and in with the new for the gaming industry 😢 sorry “old heads “ things have changed
I feel like a Halo Reach playthrough would be perfect to stream / put on this channel like the Mass Effect playthrough. Even better if he ran coop with somebros IMLYKE.
So they deleted all of Halos great attributes and they are just bringing … split screen back … everything they were saying they didn’t want from their fans as far as their disappointment, they are also confirming they aren’t really gonna do anything about it. Halo is a dying breed sadly.
I got into Halo at a different time. My first was Halo 4. It is still my favorite Halo, followed by Halo Infinite. Though, I'm basing that one the story campaign not multiplayer. Never been a fan of multiplayer.
16:42 This you really did have to be there. Those lobbies were the most fun I remember having no bullshit cosmetics, no battle pass to grind. Just fun times with people on the internet.
Growing up without internet I never did play in matches. But I made hundreds of memories with my big brother playing modes like forge and slayer. I wish I could go back to playing halo 2 with him..
Halo 3 was when i was introduced to halo. Such beautiful music. But halo 5 was actually my favorite one next to halo 3. But yea halo ain't the same. Its always the 3rd thats the charm. Or the first.
Time really takes away the greatest part of stuff even though I did not grow up on the best games I mean cmon I grew up on Minecraft ps3 or xbox360 edition I wish I could have grown up with this or any good game but no still miss those games though
I’m a sony guy always have been but I would always play Halo with friends cuz they all had Xboxs that shit almost made me switch up but man this shit sad seeing we’re it’s at now
man i really hope halo has a genuine comeback one day. such a goated universe and 5 games straight of fire ass games. IMO if there is any FPS series that deserves to be big its Halo compared to games like COD
Seeing it now till the end segment with all the things and memories that formed halo to what it was is truly amazing and and will always make me bald 343 just took it and ran with it and basically flipped us off sad to see how they took this gem and ruined it. Bungies time with it really was the golden ages of bungie and honestly bungie will be a true gamer at heart, i just wished they did come back to finish the fight and 343 will never experience that feeling that us gamers had with it and therefore will never be a true gamer at heart thank you bungie for the gorilla grip storylines and multiplayer/co-op experience 343 cant even nor add content to its newest halo so why not let it go perhaps theyll be someone out there that will take it and restored it to what it was supposed to be
The part that really gets to me is when the 343 developer says that halo has "always been a competitive shooter. Even all the way back to halo 1 it was a very competitive game." Like bro, did you not play halo at all? Did you never do anything outside of sweat in multiplayer games? Because halo was the antithesis of a competitive shooter. It was a party game, meant for playing in your living room with friends and then eventually, playing online in lobbies full of people. Forge, Co-op, file share, the game has always been about having fun. And 343 decided to absolutely ruin it with everything in their power.
Man the way Halo is literally going down is honestly enough to make me cry. Ik it’s “just a game” but this franchise changed the gaming scene and to see it go out like this is truly gut-wrenching.

I quit playing after Black ops 2.

@@Danny344S don't worry, I still believe halo will shine again someday. Afterall..There will be another time..
@@protogensvisiontimelost254 I hope one day 2012 reach to 2018 were the last time I had fun playing a halo online lol
Hell yeah do more reacts!!
10:20 Regardless of your age you should be allowed to be passionate about gaming.
10:57 was a much needed out the blue skit 💀💀💀 legitimately cried tears
i never think about just how catastrophic the downfall of halo was . fuckin loved halo 3 with my whole heart 😭😭
Literally heartbreaking bro halo was my whole childhood
I remember when I was finally able to (barley) fit in my hands the first game I ever played was halo. And ever since then I’ve been a massive halo fan. It’s truly heartbreaking to see what it’s become.
Crowbcat makes legendary videos. They are so good. They only come out once a year. It's like a real-life holiday when he drops a new one.
2:00 OOOH HOL UPPPPP YESSSSIR, clean af to see berlin passion for sumthing bruh.
imma back to this vid after i finish halo 1 (and play the others eughhhh, gotta get off my ah no cap)
I remember playing halo 3 when I was really young. The vs mode and riding a jet? Awesome
*2007-2010 best of Gaming Golden Era Of Year.*
Nah bruh when that halo 3 teaser hit and the classic overpowered orchestral piece played it brought a tear to my eye
@BHh-tr4hm fr
man that cut at 15:46 from 343 devs saying scripted talking points to bungie devs talking passionately about halo really hits the nail on the head. 343 has no soul and no passion.
When original creators/writers/developers are fired or leave. So does the quality 💯
I was a PS kid I never played XBOX and unfortunately never played the good Halos. I have only experienced the 343 games iteration which sucks cause I even got goosebumps watching the end of this video and I never even played them
This is honestly sad cuz I used to love halo I don’t even play halo nm because of how much it changed
Still my favorite Halo game despite me being hot doodoodogwatergarbage at it
You can't say every mistake is a chance to learn and then CONTINUE TO NOT LEARN
Man...Halo was so epic, companies failed it, the way gaming is now, failed it..only people that kept it alive was the fans and even they're giving up now..sad times.
Wait I wanna see berleezy play halo reach bro! Def my fav halo
Hilarious with Berlin joking about other gamers smashing their controllers
MCC wouldve been the biggest online console game to this day had it launched playable
Happy Birthday Berlin 😍😍😍
I've always been team Sony growing up, but I remember halo 3 being so good that I would always go over my friend's house to play it with him for hours. I generally hate Xbox and the controller layout but it was worth it for halo 3.
this video legit made cry
Something about a Blue Master Chief Carrying that flag while his teammates body shield him to get the point at 18:12 , and hearing that epic choir sing makes me so happy.
Halo never died, just missing in action
Bein early to eezyTV IS EVERYTHING😭
I didn’t even let the notification leave the top of my screen🧍🏾♂️
Don't feel bad about calling out 343 industries, if you don't call them out they're going to keep on doing the same shit
really doesnt matter, because they can get away with this over & over, oh we still make money even though we just gave them a handful of turd? thats great lets keep doing that
It's not really up to most of the developers it's the leadership
dudeeee we HAVE to get berlin to play Reach that would be a FIRE playthrough
First video game I ever played was halo 3 and it’s just it sucks to see where’s it’s gone now
Berlin i understand how you feel bro althought for me it was not halo but cod , I have been playing cod sense the first blackops and the first modern warfare and to see my favorite franchise slowly but surly become a cash cow and not a fun game hurts on a different lvl So Yes #MakeGamingGreatAgain .
I grew up on cod but sorry for your loss
Genuinely so heartbreaking to see what happened to halo, such a revolutionary game series just casually being treated like dookie lmao
Yo I didn’t even know about this side channel until last week and I’ve been watching Berlin FOR YEARS LOL
Berlin need more reactions.
Bro at first I was so pissed Bc of 343 and at the end that shit got so emotional I couldn’t help but let at least a tear go
I feel like a Halo Reach playthrough would be perfect to stream / put on this channel like the Mass Effect playthrough. Even better if he ran coop with somebros IMLYKE.
You know when videos like these come out it’s really bad for any game
So they deleted all of Halos great attributes and they are just bringing … split screen back … everything they were saying they didn’t want from their fans as far as their disappointment, they are also confirming they aren’t really gonna do anything about it. Halo is a dying breed sadly.
Gears of war went down the same path. After epic games gave the coalition the game it went to trash. Smh
Berlin gotta play Halo Reach on the channel that would be a fire series
Wassup big dog. Love the content 👊🏾
Wake up chief, we need you!!!!!!😢
Master chief had to take his helmet off in the fuckin beginning but Mando waited till at least the last ep of season 1
I never knew he was a fan.
One of the biggest
@@queintt9567 No he ain’t lol!
He didn’t even play the other main games!
Another great video!💜
started on halo watching my brothers play so i literally grew up on halo
Seeing it now till the end segment with all the things and memories that formed halo to what it was is truly amazing and and will always make me bald 343 just took it and ran with it and basically flipped us off sad to see how they took this gem and ruined it. Bungies time with it really was the golden ages of bungie and honestly bungie will be a true gamer at heart, i just wished they did come back to finish the fight and 343 will never experience that feeling that us gamers had with it and therefore will never be a true gamer at heart thank you bungie for the gorilla grip storylines and multiplayer/co-op experience 343 cant even nor add content to its newest halo so why not let it go perhaps theyll be someone out there that will take it and restored it to what it was supposed to be
I never felt such hatred for a company more than 343i when this video came out bro
Bro that is how I felt about Destiny2 and now I don't even play the game, it's so bad, it's no longer considered Destiny
I also watched the show until episode 3 and i was like nope im not strong enough
Halo was everything 😢 around halo 2-3
Ay Berlin “like marvel n Star Wars” this shi goin down the drain😭😭😭
