Bounce in place or freeze midi tracks if you're done editing them: you can always unmute the original and delete the bounce or unfreeze the track if you want to change the midi plugin later. Frees up massive resources.

I've used the empty track thing for my logic pro sessions too and it does help. Also love that you are doing these videos showing the process. It's fascinating and your arrangement is sick so far.

I also think you could have highlighted the midi tracks and hit "m" to "turn off" the midi clips. So, it'd do the same thing. Different flavors of the same thing I guess.
You should contact Grant Mcfarland for drums on this, he is main brain behind galactic empire and plays/writes the parts exactly like yours
what mac do you use may i ask? Im getting one soon and im going to switch from fl studio to logic and i want to make sure that i get a good enough system for music production.
