  • SOUTH LA - Judson Bacot, 67, talks about the early formation of the Westside Crips, and the role the 100s and Saint Andrews Park played during the early formative years of the Westside Crips. He also talks about the prominent role that Donald "Sweetback" Archie (referred to as Doc) played during the early years of Westside Crips. In 1973 Judson Bacot was the youngest person in San Quentin prison and the first Crip to be sent to California Prison. He also talks about his role in the 1972 Robert Ballou murder, or his lack there of, of which he goes into detail in his new book, "The New Evolution of America's Homemade Terrorists"

    Bacot and his crew were the big homies to Sweetback, Skull and Tookie pre Crippin. His little brother co founded 83 Gangsta which means he probably ran with the Al Capones. When Sweetback and the younger cats around Saint Andrews Park became Crips it was a slight threat to Bacot and Big Bob's control over Saint Andrews Park. So Bacot and Big Bob just walked on West Side Crips based on they reputations.They both caught cases early so they Crippin was done behind the wall. Bacot, Big Bob and Crip Jackie from 69 East Coast are probably the oldest Crips alive today.

    I did 23 year's, and I did time in San Quentin myself, and back then they called the BGF the "415 Car" then some year's later the BGF change their name to a Swahili name Coomi, but the BGF couldn't control the Damu's, and Keyways, because you already had shot caller's, and everybody had their own click like the Blue Note's, UBN, and BL so there was no way the black's from southern California, was gonna let anyone from the Bay area dictate how we ran are program, and vice versa the black's from The Bay, or Northern California wasn't gonna allow black's from Southern California dictate their program

    what this og said at the end makes sense. Mexican gangs do seem to unite more. black gangs are always divided. you got bloods, crips, and then the pro black and they all stick to that one group no coming together or no structure. I feel this why black people can't get ahead because there's no unity when it comes to our people being attacked by other ethnic groups cause nobody willing to put hoods or colors aside..

    • @Powerule23
      @Powerule23 7 лет назад +12

      Sadly, we'll probably always be divided because we were paired against one another socially from day one. Racial groups who come here on their own choosing are less divided, which is not say they are completely undivided. As sad as reality is, some of us blacks folks, will always thrive on hating one another.

    When some brothers who were really in the mix in those days stay quiet. The myth of Mexican Mafia and Aaryan Brotherhood dominance grows stronger.
    The BGF is damn near never talked about, except those dudes in Maryland. Who are not on the same page or level of the original Cali BGF.
    The brothers back then whether BGF or not, were solid. They took it to the Mexicans and white boys.
    No one ever talks about that though. The mexican mafia and AB won't confess to the ass whoopings they took.
    All the groups took losses no doubt, but the media and Law enforcement make it seem like Eme and AB are invincible.

      But the Mafia had already took over yards held by blacks long before that (and with smaller numbers). Just admit it, y’all got out played. Simple as that.
      Y’all propagate this “invincible black Superman” theory anytime y’all get your asses handed to you. Guess what, every one got kryptonite, Superman ain’t shit.

    i thought this was a kev mac video lol. but i like when you guys do the ogz. These vids have substance and logical thinking. most. but not all the young guys are lame to listen to when speak on the current situation. Carson movement, a few others i give props but the rest are corny to be honest. when he started out talking about they had a protocol in the early days to squash beefs before they got out of hand amongst crips i felt he should have elaborated more. like its messed up and depressing to keep seeing hoods who had ckose ties or simply got along to constantly fall out over bullshit and the fact instead of finding solutions to nip it in the bud they rather promote dissing and ignorance. like tbe 40s and 60s for instance. thats a very unfortunate situation that could of been squash if it were structure and leadership. i remember the video with the young guy from fruit town "you know" lol. he made a good point when he said how they dont beef with otber bloods because their logic is its an individual issue not the whole gang. so with that i see it like if two dudes have a problem from allied gangs thats their issue. and should be settle as such. if one or the other takes it further than words or fist, that person should be delt with accordingly by his own gang because the rules should be one man not going to ruin or tear down this beneficial relationship over personal beefs. That in it self would save many lives, from tbe grave and streets and keep shit cool.

Kev Mac did both in a couple of months.....

      streetgangs cmon you all that i wrote as a positive idea and gesture for your videos and all you took from that or choose to recognize was the "kev Mac" short sentence? wow that is very arrogant of you! i do notice many bloggers or popular social media characters never respond or say thank you when giving props. you included, i have notice you mostly make comments when in defense mode or taking a know it all stance . For instance saying gang colors dont matter which is bull. when in another one of your videos G aktive said he thought them Harlem dudes who bust on him was from 20s due to being in all red. thats a color matter situation if i ever heard of one! now since you want to get in your feelings about "kev Mac" lets be real. yes you did interview this guy a few years ago with his co d. i remember. great interview, but not because of Alex questions but simply the OGz have a interesting take and story to tell. like honestly Alex questions are ok. not really that good. like the last comment said Kev is from the set! alex is not and you can tell. Street Gangs may have interview the Ogz before but doesn't mean you do it better. Kev interviews are way more suspenseful and you can visualize the conversation. this is due to the way the question are presented and are set up. Streetgangs you interview these kids and the questions and hole set up seems weak. the interviews are short and usually have no direction or purpose. and the ones thst are good like i said they usually stop premature. the others are just slow and these kids arent really talking about nothing. maybe if you went in the interviews with a subject and objective, it could be better. then you go to these off brands in New york who are really wack! really a waist if your time and ours. that hood in the bronx was pathetic smh. those OT guys interviews are watered down because they're trying to give LA gang history and culture when their not from LA. like they should take pride in their own culture amd history and that would be interesting and intriguing to know about where they come from not who they want to be like. i say all this with respect and i mean well. but your defensive stance to my short kev mac sentence opened the door for feed back. you may not like everything i said but if your a true professional and value your fans, you should be able to take criticism good or bad. and try showing appreciation to your fans who give you props by at least saying thank you without the sarcasm. this is just a little reality check. no one is perfect or above critic. and as fans we give you a audience and views if not for us you wouldn't have been around for so long. so hear us out without being so defensive and arrogant. truth is kev mac is out here now. its not you alone anymore. so step your game up thats all. Peace!

You claim you just went over and stood by Cuzz when you guys killed Robert Ballou. You were in on it and you know it. Making victims of guys who only wanted to go to school, get good grades and do what is right was terrible. I never once sensed that you felt any remorse for all of the pain that you caused people needlessly. Big time street gangster snitched on the Compton Crips and Mac Thomas. Hommie, real gangster don't snitch. That is what you did. Back in 1966 when those cops told you to get your all out of the street they should have done society a favor and busted a cap in your ass. Snitchin' on Craig Munson as well. WOW!!! Damn, why did your heart have to jump!
