I don't know what game Lawrence was watching, but the Bears had over 200 yards of total offense in the first half. The notion that they didn't start moving the ball until the end is bs. There were 6 drops and a block kick that contributed to their lack of points through 3 quarters, but let's not act like we were watching the same offense from the New England or Arizona game. Brown has done a terrific job calling plays and Caleb just delivered his two best games of his career in back to back weeks.
In the simplest terms, it's a lack of focus, lack of attention to details and a lack of discipline, at least 75% of which comes from a lack of coaching
There were definitely some beautiful, USC style completions that were clutch and Williams desire to push and try to convert and get down field. There were just a couple too many miscues that changed the outcome. He's definitely making the effort to be a better player.
Caleb had a great day. That said, he seems to get really excited and the adrenaline gets the best of him. He was able to cover himself in the 4th quarter, but in OT his lack of poise caught up to him. He has the potential to be devastating, he's shown the flashes of it. I'm feeling the Bears may beat the spread Thursday.
I totally agree with you. He gets antsy during certain situations. But he’s also a big time QB and comes clutch when needed. We need elite veterans on the OL such as Trey Smith and Drew Dalman. Running game is your QB’s best friend
It's literally like staying with your girlfriend bc she's nice, despite the fact she contributes nothing to the relationship, and has zero social awareness.
I’d love to enjoy the young QB’s progress but we were told the rebuild was over and winning was supposed to start happening. The truth is we are further away from winning than this current management group would like to think. We are in need of an overhaul at the top, Poles included. I’m interested to watch what moves Kevin makes or doesn’t make. This is more than just coaching, this is a philosophy issue.
Warren and Poles come off egomaniacs to me. They had an opportunity to get an Alpha in Jim Harbaugh. But their insecurity held them back and went for “continuity” with Flus
Hit it on the head Laurence…there are good things sprinkled throughout but when you add everything up the collective cumulative return this team provides just isn’t anywhere near good enough to win…actually they’re always just bad enough to lose. Flus has to be gone and if Poles can’t do the difficult job of firing him he can go too. The defense had chances to make stops and keep the game within reach and every time they came up short. They overall unit like the coach who leads them just isn’t good enough
Matt eberflus has the bears undisciplined and can't manage a clock and not kicking an extra point for fucks sake. A coach that can't strategize and his defense sucks too.
Darnell Wright continues to get pre-snap penalties, Cole Kmet is seriously under used, Teven Jenkins can Bullrush people effectively when he’s not injured for ~50% of the season. I believe it all starts with the pathetic offensive line and the constant three and outs that take their toll on the defense which shows up as injuries this time of the year. Can somebody please explain to me why when we are down by 14 relatively early in the third quarter we go for two after a touchdown? And when you don’t elect to kick a short field goal early on in the third quarter? How did Ryan Poles think that drafting a wide receiver in the first round Was a good idea when the offensive line can’t give the quarterback time enough to find him?
I'll start by saying that Flus has to go, without question. He's holding the team back. But specifically about your complaint about going for 2. When you score with 7:22 left in the 4th quarter (check the box score), that's not anywhere close to the same situation as you're saying it was ("relatively early in the third quarter"). You must be angry and not remembering clearly. Secondly, this is basic game theory to go for 2 in that situation. The decision that gives your team the best chance to win is to go for 2 late in the game if it gives you the lead instead of playing for a tie, so with that in mind, if your plan is to go for 2 on the second TD when you're down 14, then the better strategy is to go for 2 on the first of the touchdowns also, so if you fail to convert it, you can then go for 2 on the second TD and still tie the game. It's the optimal approach that gives you the best chance to win (you're still losing more than half of the time when you tie the game, factoring in your opponent getting a possession to end the 4th quarter, and a roughly 50/50 shot in OT if you get there, and an underdog to your opponent in the game). There's a lot to complain about with Flus, going for 2 in that situation is not one of those things.
Maybe this is too simple, but it seems to me that the Bears coaching staff chokes in the biggest moments. In overtime when Caleb took that awful sack, (which is on him )a stupid rookie mistake, it looked like they were trying to go deep, when earlier they moved the ball effectively by getting it out quickly and let their skill guys get the yards after the catch. Losing teams choke. The Bears are losing team because they ALWAYS choke. I think it starts at the top…..FRUSTRATING 🤨
It's just coaching. I think Brown has done a fantastic job, but it's apparent they miss too many details on all sides of the ball. Tackling, WR's in the same spot, routes being ran sloppily, DB's thinking the other guy has it. All of these little things the Bears clearly don't work on. There is part of me that wonders if the team would look better had Brown of been the OC from the start of the year, but it feels moot as we should be looking for a new HC probably starting after next week.
Meh. Holding the ball too long in OT and taking a sack was a rookie mistake. I can forgive since it was his amazing play that scored 11 points in 32 seconds to even get to OT! The 2nd blocked FG and the botched punt return are the real issues.
The Bears have the worst coach in the division. It bothers me that Ryan Poles does not see that. None of those coaches are going anywhere soon. There is no other option. Have to fix it.
I can't stop thinking about where the Bears would be today if Ryan Poles had taken the 1983(ish) draft haul instead of a quarterback DaBears didn't need.
@@robertodemesa945 1. 10 Touchdowns, 1 Interception, 93.9 QBR IN SIX GAMES! 2. Set up nicely for Free Agency in March. #1 Rated Free Agent QB 3. Ryan Poles knew what he was doing when he locked himself in his hotel room with his phone off. Thereby funneling JF1 to his/Poles #1 trade buddy in Pittsburg. 4. Khan owes Poles big-time for the Claypool trade, so Poles called in that favor with an incentive to keep JF1 off the football Field as long as possible. 5. Ryan Poles wanted a headstart with his "generational" quarterback in Chicago, without the distraction of being compared to Justin Fields playing well & winning elsewhere. 6. How's that working out for Poles?
@ I’m incredibly intelligent especially regarding football. Hopefully I can reconnect in a couple years when it hits you, and all of a sudden you’re a Williams detractor. Bet you were a big Fields fan couple years ago . . .
Loving Caleb’s development under Thomas Brown. Absolute malpractice on the part of the Bears organization to keep Flus and let him bring in Waldron.

Against good defenses to boot.
Drops especially from some of the veteran players is horrific. Everyone should be relegated to the jugs machine today
I was watching the game where they had 10 points through 53 minutes
Kyler Murray is a gamer 😂😂😂
Lawrence, your audio sounds like you've entered the matrix.
The Cylons got Laurence
I thought it was just my feed.
Chuck Matt Eberflus into Lake Michigan
Starts at the top...Owners then President then GM then HC.
In the simplest terms, it's a lack of focus, lack of attention to details and a lack of discipline, at least 75% of which comes from a lack of coaching
Is it me, or is the audio bad?
We needed this loss so that there's no doubt Flus is gone in addition to getting a better pick to build the lines up
Too many dropped passes and miscues but Brown is doing well with the offense.
Caleb is ELITE!

Good analysis subpar audio.
Coaching, Coaching, Coaching. And it starts at the top. Matt Eberflus needs to go
Matt Eberlose
Are you not entertained? I really don’t know how to review this game.

I’ve seen enough from Thomas Brown to be convinced that he should be the next head coach of the Bears.
Brown for HC
I swear it seems Eberflus tries to lose
I dont have any fingernails left after today. Man. The offense played their asses off to get back into it.
Poles i think you need indeed. You Suck both lines, linebackers gashed silly today.4 years and this is what we got????

Bears defense looks like it did in '22 and last season before Sweat trade.
Caleb is demonstrating a very strong competitive Will. Extremely encouraging.

You have a bsky account yet?

Bro bears lose to get fluss out. Brown and Caleb killing. Against a “top tier “ team that we were predicted to get blown out by.
Invest in a good mic it's pretty bad

Pretty bad audio
Swift is a 3rd down back. He proves every sunday hes not a every down back
Agreed, we need someone like….David Montgomery

Yup. This will go the way of JF1 or at best he will be another Trevor Lawrence which Idk if that is good or bad.
You can't realistically make that determination after he's only played 11 games. That's a ridiculous take @@paulprovenzanotelejug7877
What is wrong with you! We got are QB. HE’S NOT THE PROBLEM. what game are you watching🤦🏾♂️
