Even though I have an audio fail on this video, it is always a pleasure to watch you, Guido, in a totally professional flight performance. You are the real deal!
Guido, your professionalism is flawless! Just took my commercial/multi-engine check ride yesterday and would be a pleasure have someone like you to share experiences inside the cockpit. Safe flights always!
Always enjoy your videos, Guido. While all of us should strive to fly professionally (whether paid or not), you consistently do that. I also like the comments on the screen here and there--it's easy to forget that there are good and not so good ways of doing things, even if the not so good are still acceptable.
Thank you! A landing in a jet at KDXR requires an "on the numbers" touchdown, otherwise the chances of seeing the fence on the end of the runway are quite high... :-) Thanks for watching my videos & happy landings, Guido PS: although I understand and respect the anonymity of the web, I would appreciate if you could write your comment with your clear name - it's just more personal. Thank you!
While I enjoyed your videos from overseas, glad to see you back at Danbury. By the smile on your face when you pulled into executive, I think perhaps you are glad to be back too! Always enjoy your videos.
Captain Warnecke, Welcome back to KDXR. It's been a while since I've been able to get online as I have had a new baby. =) It's great to see you flying internationally =) Congrats on your new career. Audio giving you a bit of trouble I see... Clear Skies & Safe Landings Sir.
You are very welcome, Edwin! The video processing still leaves a lot of room for improvement, but I am slowly getting there. It is quite difficult and time consuming. Thanks for watching my videos & happy landings, Guido
I can only say I really appreciate you taking the time to do all this extra work. I have been watching a lot of videos of other pilots as well and to be honest yours are somehow very immersive (hope I say it right), very informative and just a pleasure to watch!!
5000+ views in one day - You're an aviation Rock Star Guido! Well done - you deserve it - your videos are consistently great. (still having the audio issue though? what have you changed? I had a problem with phase issues in an audio adapter I was using and the sound was similarly very low - I had to change the headset plug and it fixed the problem.)
Thank you, Will. At Danbury KDXR with the short runway there are no options other than "being on the numbers"... The runway is short. Happy Landings, Guido
Believe me, I know that and respect you for nailing that one. I know how amped up you must be every time you knock out a short field takeoff and landing. They are awesome! Keep up the good work, CRM, and safe flying brother. -Will
rmay000 Danke. Ich bearbeite die naechsten videos mit Adobe Premiere, da kann man audio einstellen. Fuer neue Videos sollte das Problem geloest sein. Happy Landings, Guido
Thank you very much Ivan. As a pilot, we aim always for a "smooth" landing - passengers like that, our ego likes that... More important is a "safe" landing in a predetermined touch down zone. Sometimes it's soft, sometimes it's not... Thanks for watching my videos & happy landings, Guido
Thanks. Very embarrassing. Sound is a little better, but something is wrong here. If you try a headset it works better. I hope to have this resolved on the next one. Please bear with me. happy Landings, Guido
Your videos are very nice and a great aid for training too. It would be very nice if you could use a 2nd GoPro closer to the panel to gain a better view of what is going on with the instruments. I know this would create a little more work in editing to do a two camera shot. Thank you very much! and keep the shiny side up.
Thanks Ronald. I am bringing the video editing part to the next level now with more cameras and enhances software to cut, overlay and edit. Please stay tuned. Happy Landings, Guido
Schönes Video Gudio ;) Immer wieder interessant deine Flüge zu verfolgen! Grüße aus dem Harz, Markus P.S. Vllt. Sieht man sich iiiiirgendwann ja mal in EDCB. :p
Thanks! The checklists are provided by the aircraft manufacturer. Also the simulator training providers have checklists. Happy Landings, Guido PS: although I understand and respect the anonymity of the web, I would appreciate if you could write your comment with your clear name - it's just more personal. Thank you!
Hi Guido, I've been confused. What I know is "Visual approach" is only used in IFR condition. even if in VFR condition, you can still use instrument approach like ILS or VOR. So what is your approach called in the video? Please correct me if anything I say is wrong. Really like your videos, thank you! -Mike
Hi Mike. A visual approach is part of an IFR flight, you are still under instrument flight rules, only the approach part is with visual reference to the airport / runway. We cancelled our IFR flight plan en route, about 70Nm before KDXR to ge a more direct route,. This is common practice in the USA. Traffic services are still provided but it requires more attention of the crew to look out for other traffic. So this was a :normal" landing, jut in any other light aircraft. Thanks for watching my videos & happy Landings, Guido
Welcome back to your home base. When you flying out to beautiful Southern California. No snow here to worry about and we have lots of executive airports.
Servus Capt.
Happy landings, Guido

Hi Guido may you answer please. English not good. How would I become a commercial Pilot for qantas, jetstar, virgin, emirates ect I am 14 and am passionate for that job
All you have to do is speak the strange English of aviation. Even us native speakers find it hard. But if you can speak it clearly and understand it well enough you can get around in aviation anywhere in the world. Go for it!
Now 10 years have passed - could you advance your flying career? Happy Landings, Capt. Guido If you have not done already, please subscribe to my aviation channel and turn on notifications, so you will not miss any new videos.
Yes I noted that - thanks. i apologize. i think it was the headset adapter. Should be sorted out for the next videos. Thanks for watching my videos & happy landings, Guido

Touchdown on the numbers. Beautifully done as usual. Also appreciate the little tips you throw in about correct phrases and such.

I love your movies but on several films is very quiet sound. Can you check this?
Thank you!
I am aware of the audio problem and I think it is corrected now for future videos.
Happy Landings,

4.4k ft... short runway? That's twice as long as what I'm used to :)
For a Citation V this is short, given the obstacle situation.
Displaced threshold limits LDA to 3688 ft.
Happy Landings,
Guido
Lucky you... you get to fly a Citation V!
My bantering is all envy. Thanks for the great videos.
Thank you, Daniele!
Happy Landings,
Guido
Why is Mike in his shorts and flip-flops? Just flew in from Hawaii? =)
I will ask him... :-)
Thanks for watching my videos & happy landings,
Guido
What happened to your audio? The last few videos it has been off. Always was good before that.
He posted in his last video his audio cables are acting up.
I hope to get it fixed soon.
Thanks!
Happy Landings,
Guido
Der Gurt
Your last couple of videos have had very low audio. What gives?
Yes I noted that - thanks.
i apologize.
i think it was the headset adapter. Should be sorted out for the next videos.
Thanks for watching my videos & happy landings,
