You need a degreaser to clean properly all the tiles. Wall paper I bought good quality washable one The adhesive for wall papering tiles A paintbrush Stanley knife to cut Long ruler To swipe and remove bubbles
Sorry have not been able to reply sooner. I really recommend using the wall paper to cover tiles. It is rental safety, it is also less messy, removing tiles and plastering takes a lot of time and effort. I found this cheap and easy to do.
Great job, it looks so pretty. I would buy some Black Tile Paint and paint your work top surfaces. Then get some black handles for your cupboards. I love the way the wall paper looks like real Tiles.
Thanks 😊 I’ve decided to buy those cement slates, they are like big cement tiles, they come in black too. I wld only need like 3 sq meters, which would be cheap too. Think it’s best solution, especially with kids in the use. The paint wld end up scratched. Will post when done, have not been able to post since December 😒
turned out really nice! I would paint that white wall behind you a nice pastel color to give the eye another spot to look at, for example a teal or ocean-y color. Great finished job.
Thanks😊 my sofa is teal, so I’m thinking of painting cabinets in teal? What do u think 🤔? I don’t want to paint wall, thing is I have always had the walls colorful and bright, so this time I decided to go white for a change. That’s why I went for that wallpaper, so that eye focus on wallpaper and not wall 😂 teal sofa also distracts u from wall, but the bit of white makes room seem bigger and brighter.not much light comes through windows in winter.
Good job on video and love the wallpaper. I’m planning to do that on tiled walls and paint my tiled countertops. Tile takes paint really well and I don’t do a lot of cooking. Curious what u did with yours since it’s been a year.
Same here, I’m not one who enjoys cooking 😂 but it’s a must. Wall paper did very good, whenever food splashed on it, it was easily cleaned with sponge. Although I was just given a 2nd hand new kitchen, so I decided to knock everything off. Was tired of the brick cabinets. The wallpaper really did the job, so I highly recommend it. Ps make sure u get waterproof ones, also there is a wallpaper in which you can paint on top.
Can you not see the pattern of the old tiles through the wallpaper? I mean like where the grout was and where tiles underneath are connected? Im sure it wasnt a super even surface as grout normally would be a bit deeper than the tile itself?
I purchased a house and I have the same countertop, I was wondering if you changed the countertop too, cause I was iffy about putting a peel amd stick over tile.
Hi there, I have not done counter tops still 😂 I have just decided to go for cement style slate tiles. Think they will look nice. I have not been able to post in a while nor record as my iPad broke. I will be rec and posting very soon 😁
My bathroom is the next project I have in mind. I’m knocking everything out, as it’s in a really bad shape. Did you use the stick on waterproof paper around the shower? Was thinking of those waterproof boards that looks like tiles. Got 1 yr to search ideas and get inspiration. Suggestions are always welcome xx
Thanks brilliant video. I have seen some counter tops on you tube covered with contact paper. I was thinking that as your worktop has tiles. You may have to screed it first.
killagigi thanks 😀 and thanks for subscribing to my channel I’m totally new at this recording thing, I will be doing and posting more videos, as I’m always doing little DIY projects😀 yes I’ve seen the contact paper, but with children in the house, don’t think it would last much 😂😂 I’ve heard of stick on tiles, apparently they are paper thin and are easy to place..do you do DIY projects too ?
@@carlahuart9536 yes I attempt DIY but I'm not very good.at it. The super thin tiles they sell that are made from glass look chulisimo but are not cheap.
