I remember back in 2011, my friend was like "Yo dude, you have to listen to this". He then handed me his headphones and I proceeded to listen to the entirety of I Can't Stop by Flux Pavilion. I've heard Dubstep before (mostly Skrillex), but that was the day I fell in love with it. He really is a legend to still be dropping awesome tracks nearly 15 years later.
Sadly Skrillex isn't dubstep. He even said it in interviews when he crawled out of the underground. But yeah that was the golden era of Dubstep when Flux, Bar9, Bassnectar, Excision, Skream, Distance, Mt. Eden, Ephixa, etc.
