Nice response! This album has been in my 'wish list' for years-though I do have other ones by the band.. I know this is easily considered among Caravan's best albums.. I have heard the entire thing on RUclips of course!!! -Gary
Exactly why i flipped the suzuki too a friend who really wanted it..lol..i have his self portrait lp..an amazing one man lp..he plays over 20 instruments!
+johncoltrane68 Yeah i have heard that one too (though i don't have it) it is a better record for sure. Didn't realise he played the whole thing though. That's cool!
Hi Khristian, Thanks so much for responding to this! Only a few folks had, and I figured it was forgotten by now. Very intriguing choices here. Sounds like they fit perfectly the way you describe them. I've heard a little bit of Caravan though not that one. Need to get more into the Canterbury scene, being that I've enjoyed almost everything I've heard. The Suzuki is totally new to me, though think I could appreciate both the anomalous first cut as well as the album as a whole. Will be listening for both of these. Terrific response, thanks again! -Carm
+Gorvo31 Hey Carm. Im glad you liked it. I enjoyed thinking about this for a few days. Its a good way to look at your records from a new perspective and in different contexts. Its also the first time I've pulled the Suzuki record from the shelves in quite awhile. I highly recommend the Caravan album, as well as their second release. Both really fun and amazing records in my opinion. I'm sure you will find something enjoyable from them. Nice thread man! Looking forward to more. Best wishes - Khristian
+Anthony Camplone Yep! That is the case with a few people. But if you dropped the needle onto the title track or the B side long track "Nine feet Underground", i reckon you would find some likable stuff on there mate!
Siren05 I actually got the record for free from Round & Round. Joe gave it to me, i guess because i spend so much money in there. Haha. From day one, it never grabbed me, but i've kept it because of it's reputation. I always thought one day it'll grab me.......one day.
Great response, Carm will love this one. I'm not familiar with that Caravan LP - though i have the green-coloured one with the really-long-title. Is that trio quartet a double, LOL ;) !!
+Ben Costello Hey Ben.. Haha! Nice one....The Caravan record - "If I could do it all over again id do it all over you", is fantastic as well. Some really great racks on it. I rate these two equally. Cheers mate!
