hlo mam, can u please clear my doubt regarding which hormone prevent ovulation...estrogen or progesteron?? if the Ans is progestrone why in the ppt estrogen is mentioned responsible for that 2:12
In combined OCP, Estrogen prevents ovulation (the release of an egg in each month). Progesterone thickens the mucus at entrance of womb so that sperm can't get through to fertilise the eggs.
Estrogen and progesterone are two important hormones in the human body, particularly in females: Estrogen: Main female sex hormone. Responsible for female physical features and reproductive development. Regulates menstrual cycle. Helps maintain bone strength. Progesterone: Another key female hormone. Prepares the uterus for pregnancy. Supports pregnancy if it occurs. Plays a role in menstrual cycle regulation. Both hormones work together to control the menstrual cycle and support reproductive functions. They also have effects on other body systems.
Thank you mam 💟
