@@Cricuter that's where this machine shines that it has a materials tab so it at least has a starting point for reference... my K40 Pro doesn't and it's a huge pain to figure out what settings to use and it feels most people just won't help it's like they feel they are holding on to gold knowing what settings to use when running their machines.
Awesome video, I love your project and I'll be ordering a couple of the cutting boards with your link. Question, I have the WeCreat fume extractor, is the booster fan necessary if I use the extractor and air assist?
The booster fan is better if you can vent the hose out the window. If you're using the fume extractor with no way to vent it out a window, I the booster fan probably isn't necessary. The booster fans main benefit is that it sucks everything out of the machine and to the outside. It might help vent it to the fume extractor faster but I don't know if that's helpful enough to justify the cost.
I have both the machine and creative fab. I guess I just need to learn to use the software better. I’m trying to do a personalized sign for a lady for a gift and today. I just couldn’t do it. I want it to engrave it but for some reason, I just wouldn’t do it. I got frustrated and I had to walk away. Try again tomorrow.🥰🥰🥰😂
i’ll try to send you a picture today I pray will be a better day😂 I know how to put it in the words. I will let you know because you’re so very good at what you’re doing. I love your videos.🥰
You were too quick for me and I couldn't see where you went to the bit map or what it was for the heart to add to lettering. Is that within the WeCreat program or was this in the fonts or...?? I tried to replay a few times....thank you for your time.
For the heart names, first you have to download the Litha font. Then open up the WeCreat software and type out the first name. The hearts don't show up in the font so you have to use the character map on the computer to find the hidden characters. Go to the start button on your computer and search Character Map. Then search for the Litha font. Select unicode, then unicode subrange, then private use characters. Scroll down about halfway until you find the heart letters you want. Copy and paste them one at a time into the WeCreat software. Then weld it all together after you get it right. Hope that helps!
@@Cricuter OMG, yes, that helps greatly. Thank you for taking the time to explain. I have some of those fonts with the hearts and didn't realize the two step process. hope this helps others as well!
Chopping boards with the engrave on the cutting side/surface is really not a good idea- for one it’s easier for bacteria to get into the engraved area as the surface is textured and also if you’re using a knife then there’s obvious issues with that cutting into the engraved area - engravings on chopping boards and charcuterie boards should always be on the backside not the cutting side - yes they sell but there’s issues down the line with doing it this way round

How did you know the wood selection for Acacia Wood?
I have a rubberwood cutting board, how do I know which wood to select?
Love this ! Hoping to get a wecreate in the future.
It's an awesome machine! I have 4 lasers and always reach for my WeCreat
I am enjoying my WeCreat. I also love Creative Fabrica!
They're both great companies with great products!
Does the WeCreate Booster Fan work with the Vista?
yes!
@ Ordered it - it was on sale for $79 and change, free shipping!
how do you know what speed and power to use?
Experience! But the settings in the material library are a great place to start, and you can experiment from there

When I select "fill engrave" mine still just stays outlined. Is there something special you did for that?
Hmm I'm not sure. I just make sure everything is highlighted and then select Fill Engrave
Did you seal this after? Mineral oil?
Yes I use mineral oil
I saw how you centered the design vertically, but how do you center it horizontally? None of the videos I have seen have shown this
I made an X with chalk to find the center of the whole cutting board. Then I lined up my design in the middle of the X.
@@Cricuter OMG, of course that would center the whole design. 😊

How did you do a 12 x 18 cutting board if the working size is 16.7 x 11.4?
Because the dimensions of the design were under 16.7 x 11.4"
You have to put the laser on top of the board.
@@sherriwilcox6916 my cutting board fit inside the bed, you just have to keep your design within the working area.
Did you buy the lasers or are they sending them to you?
I get them for free to make videos with on my channel.
There’s no acacia wood setting 😮
