hahaha so 1980's LOVE IT!!! i sang this as a girl guide in the 1990's and even now as a leader we still get the girls singing it at campfires! its a pointless silly but oh so catchy and fun timeless classic! love it!
These Girl Guides are well awesome, and they are happy, in their work Guides have always sworn to help people no matter who they are or whatever age they are Girl Guides are sisters to each other and a good friend to everyone in the universe how I wish I could have been a Girl Guide myself and been a sister to the other Guides and a good friend to other people and helped people in troubled times which is what Guides have sworn to do.
Girl Guides wear awesome uniform which is smart, and they are always clean in appearance and they are caring and good people who will help anyone in trouble and also when I got lost aged 7 or 8 a Girl Guide helped me find my way home she said Guides have sworn to help and she was very friendly and polite. Girl Guides are always friendly and helpful people to everyone.
These Girl Guides must be in their late 40s or even early 50s now given the year this was shown in which is the year I was aged 20 and also the year classic Dr Who ended on tv after 26 years having started in 1963 which is a year I wish I had been privileged to be born in instead of been born in 1969 6 years later than 1963 had I been born in 1963 I would now be aged 61 instead of aged 55.
I used to be in the Brownies & Guides myself & I remember it well. All the camps in Brownies, but I hated Guide camps, tents. My unit was 1st Point Clare.
My Guide pack was the Moora Moora's, those darn Tintookies thought they were so smart, until we beat them by over 50 points at the Brownie Biscuit sale!
This was 4 years before I was born lol. But wow has the uniform changed was in scouting as I'm a boy, shame they mixed scouts with girls, it should be guides for girls and scouts for boys only. Now dozens of guide groups are stopping cos of the scouting mix. Not being sexist but boys and girls need their clubs away from each other.
Damien Le Maistre im a girl guide and i completely agree with you all these feminists trying to merge sucks because why can't boys have their own clubs there is girl guides and girl scouts and there's boy scouts but where I live in Canada they aren't merged so I hope you still have a good day or night though
