He turned a wild card into a mult card and it got me thinking- was it better to have a club give 4 mult plus 8 mult or was it better to have the card be both a spade and club giving 8 mult and 50 chips? And if the card he un-wilded was a spade, then that was just a straight mistake.

My 2 cents about high contrast: I didn’t like it at first either but was playing/discarding clubs and spades when I didn’t mean to so I left it enabled to mitigate that. Now I’m used to it. 🤷🏻♂️

Idk the whole point of having a range of difficulties is variety. If you don’t want to play a higher difficulty because it’s too hard you don’t have to. They’re there for people who have mastered the game and want a uniquely difficult challenge. And besides gold chip is still absolutely doable.
@@iwm276 Except they're not "too hard". The early game is heavily influenced by getting lucky with a joker that provides some chips or, ideally, mult. Otherwise you just lose and restart. Or you can get super lucky by getting a good reward from skipping the first two binds. Imo there's a lot of rebalancing to be done. Some jokers are just too weak for harder difficulties. The easiest fix to this is to maybe make the difficulty (stakes) not activate until you've beaten the first boss (or second even), that way you can at least have some money to make a build yourself instead of simply getting lucky with an OP joker right off the bat. You mention variety. There's not much variety if the only way to win (or get out of the early antes) is getting a specific set of jokers that make your early game even viable. So often you'll either get a joker that you can't afford, and so you lose, or you'll get jokers that only give you money, and so you lose, or mult/x.mult jokers that only work on specific cards, and so you lose, since you haven't even been able to modify your deck at all. Maybe make stakes have their negative aspect but also something positive to make the run viable (like starting with some money, or starting with the pretty bad joker that only gives +4 mult, and make it automatically break at ante 2 or something). There's a lot they could do to make the early game less RNG based and more strategic.

Or, depending on the stake, start us off with some cash (or a free reroll), or the +4 mult joker. Essentially just weak stuff that won't make you win, but at least survive the first few antes.
It took until ante 8 for any of his glass cards, he's got his luck in all the wrong places. I counted and it took until the 16th use to break any of them which is a 0.33% probability
