I'm glad he is doing well. In India, students studying hotel management often face harsh treatment. There are four departments, but no matter which one you choose to work in for the rest of your life, you will be working in all of them. If you're not a graduate of a tier college, you'll receive the same treatment as a majdoor. The difference is that you've got a degree. As beginners, they receive the following compensation: 10K INR for a 12-hour shift. I have seen my friend suffer, and thankfully, he will soon be coming to the USA for training. The only way a hotel management student wants to come to the USA is to get through an agent; there is no another path to apply.
Thanks Harnoor for making this video. I follow your channel for last few years. I am in California Bay Area for last 14 years working as a IT manager in analytics ML. My niece is in India working in a big hotel but a lot of struggle. I know these paths but I m currently asking her to decide. However, this video will help many. Thanks for trying to cover every sector either small or big.
I was facing the same issue after my HM and opted J1 was an amazing year but the issue is what after J1 .. wish there was any other pathway to continue.
Yoo I just started my BSc in HM. Can you all tell me anything that I should know about this industry although i have gave some knowledges about like basic stuffs and struggles in this industry.
@@vaibhavkumar9072 if you didn't invest all the course fees and given up all the installments than if possible quit now. Other wise it will be night mare.
I did culinary. Trained in Taj in Mumbai, amazing experience in my training. The real struggle starts when you start from the beginning. The you start gaining experience, though working conditions in India are horrible in hotels. Either own a business or move out. Moving out is much better because there are so many opportunities outside, compared to in India.

INDIA mein course karke job karna aisa lgega jaise ki baap ki lakho rupye graduation karne mein waste kr diye...Usse accha diploma hi kar lete! HM kar rhe ho to thoda paisa lgao bahar jao, INDIA mein mat rho... Marriott mein phir bhi aaj ke date mein associate salary 20k CTC hain Blr, Mumbai side... But too much professionalism rhta hain, Work pressure & Duty hour more than 18hr, Lkin TAJ/ OBEROI Ki salary kam rhti hain lkin staff's facility and respect thoda jyada hoti hain, lkin work load or pressure mein kuch khaas difference nhi hota hain.
