It's looking really good with the shading. Orca looks round not flat. I would need to have a picture of Orca hanging up. I could not remember, paint from memory. Good job Ian.
Like your new intro very professional. I love the painting tutorial and its going to jump the queue for me to paint next. Thank you very much. Take Care & Stay Safe.
If you prefer painting first, not live, I've seen folks première their videos and chat with viewers during the chat. It's another experience. Mural Joe does amazing things with animals swimming under water surfaces.
Not quite clear on how to transfer orca outline onto canvas using the "on the mirror method", red pen etc. Can someone go over instructions with me please? I don't have carbon paper or anything else. All I have is the printed orca traceable.
Should have added so ripples around his fins to remind water moving. A whale that is moving under water trust me you'll be able to see water moving around him. It looks as if he is dead still in the water cause no affect.of water moving. How long you been a painter. I say painter because a.Artist.would have made the.movement. sorry
mike mike mike, you are more than welcome to join my art group and meet plenty of nice people, I can also share the ref photo i used for this art piece not that i want to dampen your theory but the fact will speak for them self when you see the actual photo and realize you don't know every thing, hope you have a wonderful day, be sure to tell your friends if you like what i do but if you don't then tell every one, not me cheers cobber.
Bit harsh Mike Hendrix with the comments considering the video was targeted to beginners. It’s a tutorial of “How to Paint” as mentioned in the title. Having seen the reference picture used, it didn’t have your so called realism bubbles in it so why make it harder for a beginner. If they wanted to go to those lengths then I’m sure they would have. At no point in any of his videos does he claim to be a master artist just does his best to help people to learn to paint. Bit sad for you to resort to trolling someone that has helped many people get in to art.
Thank you for teaching me. I appreciate it. God bless.
Glad to help

Ich habe gerade nachgeschaut, es gibt englische Untertitel. Vielleicht helfen sie Dir ein bisschen?
Ganz liebe Grüße. 🌹
