And honestly? Totally fine lol, it's super fun to do a chaos run
There's fun in being a delacate profesional who never needs to draw blood, elgantly slipping through each mission like a specter unseen, and unnoticed.
AND, being a pure vessel of chaos, either charging straight through hoards of goons with eldritch powers and gunfire mowing everything down in sight, or running across rooftops and walkways, blinking from place to place and doing the craziest stunts you can think of before plunging a blade into some sops neck.
It's the beauty of the Arkane formula.
They did fuck up making the chaos run so much more fun by giving it so many different tools. The only things that are non lethal are like the tranq darts and choking. All other stuff is lethal and can be used in fun ways. Dlcs are a bit better in that regard but if you don't get faster choking bone in first mission in base game it becomes such a chore going non lethal (if you still want to eliminate everyone on the map by making them unconscious.). Like 5 seconds of choking every single npc is a bit too much when its basically all you can do. I did low chaos like twice or something and now i don't waste my time with that shit in the base game (dlcs have more tools so you can assault problems differently from time to time so its not so stale.). Dlcs are better in almost every way in my opinion BUT i LOVE the Rat power in base game (though stopping time can set up some fun killing.) that if you can eat white rats and get mana from them can be used for free as many times as you want (maybe you need the more white rats showing up bone too for that i do not remember).
@@xxXXRAPXXxx that's the point thematically but I get what you mean. Think they did it a lot better in the second game, lots of tools to help you do non lethal in super fun ways
@Z3R0LuckV2 with my first playthrough of 2 I played without a goal and then after wanting to be a decent person I did ghost. It was a very bloody playthrough on the first two missions lol
Can't physically play this without doing the ghost/pacifist route, its nice to see someone with the strength to go full chaos.
I’ve played the campaign over and over but I just can’t resist the urge to kill somebody they can’t give all these fancy weapons and powers and expect me not to turn full serial killer I don’t have that kind of strength 😭
But once you've played a clean handed ghost, then you have the skills and knowledge to be the most dangerous type of psychopath
It is possible to do the mixture :)
I can;t play this (base) game low chaos anymore (choking everyone can be fun but when its all you can do its boring and no ghosting past everyone is not the way to go. Choking everyone is.) my most evil was when i killed absolutely everyone as the rat king and after i killed the last guy i watched as Emily struggled to get up and used slowmo just to see her fall for longer.
@@morkgin2459 Yeah, you could do high chaos ghost too. Its also possible to make it even harder. I like to do never seen, no kills, no weapons and no powers besides unupgraded blink.

Its called TOTAL CHAOS Ending and on it Emily dies at the final narration before Corvos ages of the plague.

To me what's funny is that scene the Outsider shows you of Corvo mourning at Samuel's grave, like you kill him with absolutely no remorse ffs... I suppose it could be read as Corvo regretting killing him later on, but for some reason the imagery always strikes me as funny in a fucked up way

I’ve never tried it, is the ending the same no matter how you play or do you get punished for not playing stealthy?
@@John-Doe-Yo well the ending changes as per high chaos and low chaos. Even the game play would change if you decided to kill someone that you are not supposed to kill. It's definitely worth a try.

The ending changes with your playstyle. It's beautiful und fun. Sometimes hard, depending, how you choose to play. There are challenges as well outside of the game.

Never played Dishonored? Insane. This is one of my favourite game series of all time, absolutey fantastic in every way. PLEASE play Dishonored 2, and hell, even Death of the Outsider. All are genuine masterpieces of art, gameplay, story, characters. It all works so well together.
I really hope the world of dishonoured is expanded upon with other games I know the story of Corvo is done but there’s still so much you could do like daud his dlc was amazing if they could make a game set in the dishonoured world based on a group of magical assassins for hire

Plus, there's 3 books The Corroded Man that's taking place after the first Dishonored, The Return of Daud durring Dishonored 2 and The Veiled Terror after DoTO and a bunch of comics that mostly doesn't change a thing and are short and pretty shitty but still say a couple of things about Corvo and Emily.

I'd like to see the more of the Isles that Dishonored is set in, there's so much lore and beauty to this game, its a shame we haven't seen more of the world.

Dishonored is such a good game. So many paths toward your goal only add to its replayability. Arkane's got a good few gems but this one will always have a special place in my heart.

Dishonored was when Arkane Studios figured out how to capture the magic of the original BioShock and System Shock, which they would perfect in Prey 2017. There's not a single situation I can think of that has only one solution.
I was just thinking basically the same thing. They really nailed the formula with prey. But a dishonored 3 would be a sick addition.

Dishonored 2 is amazing as well, its an improvement on almost all aspects of the first game.
I think its funny how if you take the easier path (high chaos) it makes more enemies spawn in later levels so it’s not actually easier.
I think it as the game just adapting to the player's wish to be a monster lol

This is one of the greatest games of its category, and the dedication to the story and levels in the game is impressive and remarkable. it was definitely ahead of its time.
this is wild how this game came out so long ago and is now getting SO MUCH love, i have recently played it through twice.
once with regular game play and the next with no Blink on max difficulty.

I have re-played Dishonored completely more times than I would like to admit (more than 15 for sure) and that game is very close to my heart, and to think that even 11 years later this masterpiece still holds is amazing

I love this game, it's so damn fun. I just think it's so cool that the world reflects how you play, if you don't kill much, the world has less corpses and signs of destruction, if you kill everything you see, the world will be piled high with bodies, and rats will be everywhere . It's such a cool idea. And they executed it really well imo

edit: now that ive watched it, if you let samuel live at the end of the high chaos run after he tells you to get off his boat, hell fire his gun alerting the entire complex anyway. so killing him at that point actually makes the game easier...albiet maybe not with your own gun
Funny that he went for the highest chaos but still didn’t get the ending where Samuel fires a pistol into the air to alert the guards on the island 😂
That always happens in High Chaos, Kev just murked Samuel before that could happen
@@emzetkin1100actually not. If you managed to combine hihh and low you Will get kingsparrow island mission at high chaos level but mistah samuel (that work for a good people who really wants to meet you) Will say that he is disappointed at you and will not shoot.

I remember having a blast playing this gem of a game. Truly innovative multiple approach on both missions and story line with multiple outcomes depending how you played. 2012 truly was the best year in gaming.

You should definitely play the DLCs if you enjoyed this. Just as good as the main game and offers enough new mechanics to feel a bit different. Number 2 is also just a great sequel 🔥
Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches add just enough content to feel like another game (also, Dunwall is apparently a real word, but not Brigmore according to error detection)

Dishonored is definitely one of my favorite games and stealth game of all time. Also features an emergent playthrough I had that still sticks with me despite it's absolute psychopathy xD
One of my favorite games. It’s a perfect game, but what I liked the most is the setting and environments. It’s just so unique, its more dieselpunk than steampunk which I see a lot of people say it is. We don’t nearly see enough of diselpunk especially in games.

Dishonored really showed the consequences of my action. I was having fun killing all people, but at the end I regretted it. So, in my second run I did the low chaos run and I was satisfied with the result.
Dishonored is awesome, one of my most favourite games, and top ten of all time.
“The saboteur” is also an amazing game. You should definitely check out, it’s like gta mixed with some assassin’s creed.

My favorite method is Blink only, no potions, no detection, lethal force for targets only. It's a really fun run that way.

Not really, tha cartoonish graphics aged well enough and the systems and details are already top notch.
A remake where more contents and posibilities are added, maybe, but we already have dishonored 2, tho, is a bit different.
What we need is a Dishonored 3, which will be set someplace else in The Isles (I am hoping Tyvia, as having a snowy mountain setting would be AMAZING) and the story will have all new characters, as they have stated Corvo and Emily's story is done for now.

One of my favourite games of all time, did High, low and neutral runs, all achievements, all side actions. Love this game a lot, I enjoyed the second one as well.
