Honestly if you live in a touristy area or work at a high class restaurant 50k+ a year isn't unreasonable. I live in a touristy area and at a kinda nice restaurant I was averaging about $25 an hour during the tourist season. (this is also in a relatively low income part of the country)

I always worry about situations like this. I hate trying to figure out what the "Screwed over" line is. That's why I always either ask whoever is paying, or will go with whatever is less than what the person paying ordered.
Idk if he was joking about 5 stars, but 275 a person (218.75 if Hassan pays back 450, which is the approx cost of 1 shot of 300 per oz) is not an insane amount Especially when you start off by mentioning how the alcohol(tbf, specifically high end whiskey) cost up to 500 per ounce, which is 750ish for a cocktail. 5 star place in/near LA costing 200 per person doesn’t sound all that shocking to me. I wouldn’t have the money to do it, but I’m curious what kind of price he expected.
