I wish they showed how to disassemble an old rotating assembly. This one looks brand new....he didn't even break any parts/tools!

I wish shaft sleeves came off that easy. I’ve had to use a 24 with a pull pipe to get sleeves off. Show pressed sleeves with lock nuts hahaha. There the absolute worst to get off. That makes for a looooong day.

I have a fire pump that has about 1/4" axil movement while running. I removed the bearing covers and the bearings appear to be ok. Vibration analysis picked up possible shaft looseness. If the bearings are not sliding on the shaft where else could the axil movement be coming from?

The impeller is loose on the shaft, alignment is off/coupling worn, or ope bearing in motor is toast.
But, you probably know by now.
      What was it?
