It's really cool to see one of my favorite RUclipsrs visit my city of Vancouver. I also never really noticed how good Vancouver looked till I saw this video for some reason.
Really nice video for the senses, the shaders look great and I noticed you added some real life sound effects to the minecraft points of view. Great stuff man keep it up 👌
As a person from Melbourne hearing the bell sound at 15:15 and also the voice was kind of weird for me because all I hear is the Melbourne voice, also the bell sounds like a sound at Aldi
Trains! :D Also great video. I'd love to do a video like this for the national rail network in the UK. Something I found interesting in your video is how differently the UK and Canada handle express trains. In the UK, mainlines are either double tracked or four-tracked. Fast and slow commuter services are run on both types, but on four-tracked lines you will see even faster intercity services. Also, our fast and intercity trains run all day in both directions, rather than one direction for part of the day like you explained in the video. *WALL OF TEXT ABOUT TRAINS* I live on the southern section of the East Coast Mainline that goes from Peterborough down to London Kings Cross and I think it's a super interesting bit of track. It's four-tracked, with slow lines on the outside and fast lines going up the middle of the slow lines. On the slow lines we have slow commuter trains from Welwyn Garden City down to Finsbury Park that stop at every station, and then branch off down the Northern City Line to Moorgate. Also on the slow lines, we have 'semi-fast' commuter services from Cambridge that join the ECML at Hitchin and will stop at a few stations, but skip most of them until stopping at Finsbury Park and then continue down to Kings Cross. On the fast lines we have these super fast commuter trains that go all the way from Stevenage and skip a whole 14 stations before stopping at Finsbury Park, where they then continue towards Kings Cross but branch off before Kings Cross down to St. Pancras station and cross central London. Finally, on the fast lines, we have the intercity trains that skip all stations between Kings Cross and Peterborough and continue further north. I haven't even talked about the Hertford Loop or the trains that branch off to Cambridge and Ely! :D
The quality of this video is insane… I loved the beginning text, subtle music in the background, ambient sounds when showing off the Minecraft version, and stretches of nothing but noises from the videos. Great work this was by far one of my favorite videos of yours
Love how much thought and effort you put into your city and designs, its inspired me to continue with my own city. Cubedpack is also a game changer. Keep up the amazing work!
I've always been a very big fan of subway stations more than the subways itself Tried multiple designs on minecraft over time, your video is very informative and I really want to build some again Thank you
You should have flown to the netherlands, we have one of the best train line setups here. And also for monstera in general since its going to be a walkable and cycle able city, please do come visit the netherlands we have one of the best systems for transit
Hey which shaders did you use for this video? I see that it has a neutral light colour which is just what I need. All the shaders I have tried so far has made the light glow in an orange-ish color which doesn’t fit into the theme of city building.
I'm trying to build a ginormous city myself (in Survival, no less), and seeing how I've never undertaken such a large project before, I'm a little nervous! But your work is appreciated.
I might start planning soon! I’ll be making a tour of the city with nice cinematic shots but I might cut between that and some other stuff to keep it interesting 👀
Once you’ve completed or have got through the half point of Mosntera, can you put the world up for download? I’d really love count some blocks and check out the infrastructure
Very nice!! Im new to the channel but i love it until now! but when i want to see the city in game and im in the server i cant use the command /warp monstera
hey with builds like this is it possible to add mods and retrofit? like computer craft displays that shows the lines and stuff, create mod for trains and train sensors, immersive for lighting and industries, decocraft and mr crayfish's furniture mod for decorations and furniture, ...
What am I saying is unrelated, but is the island home to many cities (Including Andea) and you plan to make it like an island "country"? or is it a different series?
Hey, Alpine, my family and I were thinking about taking a trip to Canada once we get our passports renewed. We are thinking of going hiking and all that, but while we are there, we want to see a city. Any cool cities (such as Vancouver that sounds cool) that you recommend, and cool spots within them?
An airport without luggage left in mountains laying around with their owners long gone and never able to return? No no no this cannot be reality, this must be cinema

Hey Apline! This video was amazing. And keep doing what you’re doing because your content is great.
its really cracy how at the start of the video i instantly recognized the station as being from Vancouver, and I'm not even from there!
Perfect timing! I was considering redoing my monorail in my city/theme park project I'm working on! I love your work, please keep it up!!
should check out Melbourne, Australia's Train Station's. They have very nice designs that fit it well with the location and how smoothly it runs

Cool video I like how you brought the design of Vancouvers train station into your world
This is absolute amazing dedication at the next level, btw nice shaders, your hand was animated 😂
Have you considered using the Minecraft Transit mod to add trains and stations that actually work!

While you were in the lower mainland aka metro Vancouver, did you get a chance to visit Surrey?
Unfortunately not, Surrey and Richmond were the only parts of the skytrain network I didn’t see. I’ll be back at some point to explore, though!
@@Alpine1 enjoy your time when you do, there's so much to do and see in metro Vancouver, if you want any recommendations let me know.
