People really would be surprised by the loyalty of Muslims to Islam, there are lots of people here who say people cheat the fasting but in reality, as a Muslim myself, I have never broken my fast before al-maghrib since I hit puberty and since then it became easy to do. Volunteers and things like this are done also in other Muslim countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Ive been there. Iran has many of those huge food preps. We do it if a family member dies, at celebrations, to wish ourselfs luck or of we just wish for people to pray for us. If you are hungry in Iran just walk throught the city and someone will hand you some food in a to go box.
Istiqlal mosque served 3000-4000 meals per day for iftar during Ramadhan, but we kept it simple by outsourcing them to various caterers. Some even come from the people that would like to do sodaqoh by giving food. This way, it's less strainful for the mosque.

There are! 1. Women who are carrying a baby (unless allowed by the doctor) 2. Traveling (Minimum of 80 km and Must qadha the fast after traveling) 3. Sick people (Must qadha after being sick) 4. older people (Pay Fidyah if able to (fidyah is a responsibility to pay others 1 day's worth of food, or give everyday food such as rice worth 1 mud to poor people.)) Man this must be a humbling experience... Fasting for day and making a bunch of delicious meals to celebrate life and Food in general is really refreshing for the mind and soul. People here and very fortunate countries like the U.S. forget that food is an essential and part of our roots. Energy we consume while we are surrounded by friends and loved ones enjoying this experience ❤ We get fast food through drive throughs while we eat food and as we watch tv or be on our phones. Especially for a busy working hours. Religion Holidays like this is what I don't mind about it at all. If it means to remember what your greatful for while enjoying food. And have great gratitude towards the holiday in general just means your content with yourself and loved ones. 💕💕 (Hence why I love Christmas and Thanksgiving) 😊😊
