    I prepare HMD freezer packs. Freeze a cup of orange juice in freezer-safe soup cups (you could also do an ice cube tray) then pop out each oj block and put in a reusable freezer zippy bag along with 2 peeled bananas and 2 cups wild blueberries. I don't freeze the cilantro, as Anthony says is must be fresh. I take a bag out ahead of time and defrost in fridge or in a bowl of hot water. Add remaining ingredients and blend. Thanks for this video, and I'd love to see more ideas!

    Just a few things - AW recommends only using a drop or so of fragrance free dish soap to wash celery with - never baking soda. He also has had talks about how both porcelain and stainless sinks are very porous and often are pathogenic. Having a big basin dedicated for washing can work! Thanks for all the tips!

      Thank you for your helpful information! I would greatly appreciate your response to my questions:
      (1) Does AW recommend using fragrance-free dish soap for all types of vegetables and fruits?
      (2) Does he recommend using anything in addition to fragrance-free dish soap such as distilled vinegar?
      I now buy and carry a lot of bottles of distilled vinegar and bags/boxes of pure baking soda. I use either one to clean produce but I will stop doing that and buy fragrance-free dish soap.
      (3) What does AW recommend as a good material to use for a dedicated washing basin for produce? Is ceramic, glass, wood, or any other type of material good to use?

Then i love to make tasty teas w lots of hibiscus, lemon balm, thyme, mint, red clover, burdock, honey... ill freeze ice cubes w those so i can pop them in water all day. My new videos are focusing on the emotional side as I've seen clients get so stuck with protocols like MM. And it's because there's more going on. I've had clients heal on it alongside our emotional healing work and others quit it and heal with emotional work only. It's individual and the most important part is you do what resonates with you. Thank you for your video. My hack is to take two bunches of celery, wash them, cut off the ends and juice both of them. Immediately I drink the juice of one of them, and then store the juice from the second bunch in a jar with a lid in the fridge for the next day. Doing it this way means you only have to wash out the juicer every second day and saves much time and energy. The MM says that the juice retains its vitamins for one extra day like this, but no longer.

    Thanks for the tips. I’ve been doing MM since 2017. I started for my mum who has Alzheimer’s. The HM detox has really been working. I live my life by his videos and books and juices, smoothies etc. the only hack with celery that made my life easier is I always cut all the leaves off the stalks before I wash it. I don’t juice them and I found I had my entire kitchen drenched in water from wet leaves splashing everywhere. Great to hear you are well again. Xxx

Fruits with porridge (water based not almond milk as I used to as I most recently try to go fat free mornings) or sweet potatoe with mangoe and maple syrup as breakfast (absolute favourite). With the SMEG slow juicer made in Italy, you can if you like just rinse the filter. The little holes don't get clogged. I use sometimes a natural dish brush. You can clean it in I'd say ONE or TWO minutes. It is a pity that plastic takes so long to self dry, so I dry the pieces after a few hours, the little drops that are left. This juicer also has the motor well balanced in the bottom; better I was told than in the Omega.

    • @Sigridovski
      @Sigridovski 3 года назад

      @@rachelAO Well, I am very fast in the kitchen and I just rinse the pieces. As long as you use no sponge and only natural brushes on plastic and even on glass and porcelain, but especially plastic, you get no scratches where dirt and fats immediately accumulate, then I think it is enough to rinse. I will take time next time, but I think it is something like that. I suspect Omega stopped producing theirs when they discovered that SMEG was so much better. In all the reviews, what can they do other than look at the pulp? But look at the procedure, where it gets juiced! It is impossible to have such a dry pulp. I don't care about it. I think my SMEG has a bit wet pulp, but if I drink one ml more or less, is NOT important. The SMEG is probably the best in the world. I wish they would sell them cheaper though. Get it on sale as I did.

    Hi Rachel, do you ever prepare a batch of juice for several days beyond one day? Does AW approve of batch juicing? I'm wondering if I can vacuum seal a batch of juices for maximum potency for up to 5 days. I'm also wondering if I add tea to it if that would work or if it would be better to batch juice without the tea and add that ingredient separately.

    • @rachelAO
      @rachelAO 3 месяца назад +1

      Hi, Great question. Juices need to be consumed as soon as you can really to get the most nutrients. I've heard of people storing them overnight, but they are better had as soon as you can. I can't remember how long they last for, I'm sure someone will read your question who knows. I'd always keep the teas separate. I always found the teas best added to smoothies. Hope that helps.

I've been recovered 3 years now from CFS, hypothyroid and fibromyalgia thanks to his books. But it takes some careful planning. The volume of food definitely needs to go up following MM for sure. Most plant foods have some protein in them, and some are quite high in it - like spirulina and greens. During my recovery I tracked my intake and was getting around 70g of protein a day from fruit, greens, sweet potatoes etc., which exceeded my requirements for my weight and height. I also increased my iron levels doing MM which I'd struggled to do on other diets which surprised me.
