    Good video. Nice to see what is in the box and what you will need to purchase in addition. Thanks!

    You do know there are tons of different chuck sizes right? This is normal on all air equipment. When you buy and tool you need to buy "your" fitting

      +ecoheliguy I get what you're saying but like I said. If I buy one of those drops it comes with the fitting. So it's a bit misleading. Regardless, I'm happy with the kit. I have it installed. There will be a video to come.

    Very good video. Thanks for explaining and showing what’s in the box. I’m looking to install air lines in my shop and this video has been very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to make this video,

    Of course the air chucks are not included, there are many different sizes. You supply the ones that match your air lines and air tools. Pretty simple.

    would be nice if Rapid Air actually provided instructions, rather than customers relying on some of their customers to make them for them. I was just about ready to ship this back.

    I use threaded steel pipe and fittings. More expensive but well worth it... I had to cut and thread the pipe myself, But I own the building. To me this is an improvement to the business.

      Texas Confederate black pipe is good. For my commercial film lab, I ran my main pipe, 1”, for the main lines from the compressors, and then 1/2” copper sweat for the branches.

    Hey Raphael got a question for you that is way way of topic here and goes back about a year or so. If you don't want to answer I totally understand and wont get bent about it. Anyways it has to do with the Monstaliner you did on your truck. I was looking at getting a kit and doing my jeep but the only thing that's kind of a deal breaker is the fact that it doesn't dry to a flat finish. As far as I can tell...and I have looked at a boat load of guy's trucks that have done the monstaliner they all seem to dry with a shine to them and for me it looks like they just rolled on freaking house paint! But for some reason yours came out more flat and more of what I am wanting. So any tips or input you would be willing to share would be highly appreciated!

      It will flatten out. It only looks shiny when you first install it. The red has a semi gloss look but still fairly flat.

      Alvarez Metal Works Ok cool man thanks a lot! I am sure I will be hitting you up again here soon as I am looking into putting together a light duty fab shop in my cart port. Nothing near as big of an operation as what you have just wanting to do some projects and tinker a bit. Anyways thanks again man take care and happy new year!

    I still think copper is the way to go. The only problem with copper is the price.

    • @AMetalWorks
      @AMetalWorks  8 лет назад

      +1970chevelle396 exactly but yes copper is the best when you don't consider cost. It's a heat sink.

      What really makes it start adding up is all the fittings.

      +1970chevelle396 i like pvc

    • @1970chevelle396
      @1970chevelle396 8 лет назад

      You never want to use PVC for air lines. Its very dangerous. If something accidently hits up against the pipe it will exploded.

    • @AMetalWorks
      @AMetalWorks  8 лет назад

      I agree. pvc is not a good idea at all. I know many people have used it. Some with major issues and some without. The truth is that it's not a matter of if PVC will explode, it's a matter of when and how much damage will it cause. The people that haven't had an issue will eventually have one if they stay in that shop long enough.
